Soft synths can do this, because the audio is generated via software. Hardware synths need to be recorded via your audio interface. If there would be Moog software that could do this, they would not need hardware synths anymore :wink: There are emulators out there (Omnisphere) that have Moog digital...

REC is only used to record a sequence.
Not to play it back.
You use SEQ when playing back a sequence.
That should work like that.

Not sure if Moog intended it to work different in REC mode than in SEQ mode, but for playing back you should use SEQ mode.

Are both midi ports set ON (at least DIN)
Can you test on another device if the midi is sending the clock (to make sure the S37 is the actual issue)

To my best knowledge, this is a known issue on the first Sub37 series.
But I could be wrong.
I have a subsequent and that works fine.

Ok, strange.
Mine did not work ok without it.
But after that I never had issues with connecting.

Did you install the USB drivers from the Moog site?

Last night I needed a sub bass patch for a project I'm working on. Guess what : I used the subsequent 37 for that. I have no clue what is the problem.
My first question was if you could record something.
Maybe even via your telephone and share it on youtube or so.

I have noticed this too.
It is indeed 'unwanted' but not a big issue for me.
The only moment I did really not like it was when I wanted to modulate the octave with a square lfo.
Otherwise I don't change that while playing.
