Re: FreqBox MF-107 crackles (clip insdide)
If you want to send me a sound file I'm willing to play it through my freqbox then send you a recording at a few different settings that you may compare the sound to your unit.

DemonDan's suggestion is a good one. If you don't have a real white noise source radio static can provide great results._DemonDan_ wrote: Taking this to the extreme, try feeding white noise into your MuRF and
experiment with that until you learn all the variations that are offered.

Re: FreqBox MF-107 crackles (clip insdide)
You have proposed replacing the 107 with a 102. I personally think you would love the distortion effects that come from using both of the together. The 107 makes a great carrier for the 102, resulting in great hardsync octave fuzz. As you may or may not know, foogers are better in groups because the...

Re: What is system utilities' function Preset MWHL: on/off?
I have a LP, withouth any SP's, but my guess is that it is a setting which either enables or disables the use of the moduulation bus w/o an external modwheel controller. I know that a heavily requested feature was the ability to ane mod wheel positions to presets; maybe it happened with the SP and t...

Sepparate controls for attack and decay would have been really useful too

Re: not digging the murf, lacks definition
Too subtle in what application? I really like mine for adding percussive qualities to sounds or to make drones and radios creepy. Do you have the midi version? I think the ability to program the patterns makes the midi version far more versatile. I do think the inclusion of a resonance knob would ha...

Re: SP's with Grounding Issue
Using the same outlet usually solves the problem. Try setting the pots to analog pass-thru mode. When I run into issues that setting tames the beast. Also passive transformer DI boxes have been recomended because they isolate the phatty's audio output from the mixer.

They have attenuators but they don't invert the voltage. The newer ones can also be used to invert as well as attenuate,77jordan wrote:Do you mean attenuators? It looks like from the pictures that the red nut versions did have attenuators.

Re: FreqBox MF-107 crackles (clip insdide)
does it crackle with sync turned off? One thing i've thought of that can cause crackling is hiting the fooger hard enough that it clips really hard. Try turning down the gain the see if the crackle goes away.

Re: Tell us about your rig
The S550 is still a nice samler, looking at the photo it appears you do not have the exteranl hard drive or CD Drive ? The S50 keyboard Is also nice but does not have as much memory and does not have the filter. Roland has a conversion program ( free) that would allow you to load samples for the 55...

Re: Regeneration in mini, What is it?
I think turning down the decay and up the sustain will probably have the effect you're looking for between legato notes.
