Dingebre - Are your Voyager keyboard and Voyager rack connected by anything other than a MIDI cable? Does the system require a mixer or anything else? How does the duophonic keyboard perform? My keyboard and RME are only connected through midi. I have a MOTU Midi Time Piece so I can easily re-route...

I have a duphonic system going and I like it because I'm a bit sloppy with my playing and don't always get one finger up before the other has started down when I need to, and so a duophonic system playing it as a monophonic system is nice for me. Pricey, yes, but it's also nice to have two for seque...

For audio routing, you can use a "Hum Eliminator" and try each cable until it goes away. Or use the 8 channel rack mount and just run all your audio through it. Ebtech also makes a "HumX" which safely filters the ground on a three prong cable maintaining the ground connection. Us...

Getting a lot of noise from my RME. not just when i play notes tho, when its idle aswell. Ive tried swapping channels on the mixer, swapping cables, trying the cables in other synths and they are fine (no noise). When i turn the voyager off, there is still a little bit of noise but not as much.. I ...

I will just add that Moog support is the best. The one small problem I had with my Voyager Select (never a problem with my RME) was taken care of immediately. I have always been able to talk to a real person with no wait (which tells me Moog probably doesn't have many calls to tech support which I t...

Re: What did I do to my duphonic communication????

Not really outlined well in the manual, but MIDI key order is just that, and not Voyager key order. Poly Voyager needs the keyboard local off and MIDI out looped back into the Voyager MIDI in, so it can sort notes by MIDI order. RME gets the MIDI thru from Voyager. Otherwise it would act like any m...

What did I do to my duphonic communication????

I've been using my Voyager keyboard and RME as a duphonic system quite nicely, however, that has changed tonight and I can't figure out what I did. Before, and desired operation, I hit key #1 and the keyboard Voyager triggers a note, hit key #2 holding key #1, RME triggers a note. Keep holding key #...

Thanks for the help/suggestions. I've not pinned down the exact midi message, but I think the setting is in the Master menu, 1.2 Local Control. For some reason, the crash in Sonar sends a message which turns off local control. There is no error message displayed, the voyager turns on like normal. Ev...

Weird Midi behavior, Please Help

Equipment: Moog Voyager MOTU MTP MOTU 828mk3 PC, i7 processor, Vista 64 Software: Sonar Producer 8.5 I've finally been able to sit down and play with my new toys. When using a "light" version of one of the soft-synthesizers in Sonar, Sonar crashes every time. That's fine, but here is the p...

should I purchase a second voyager or something else?

I own a voyager RME, which I completely love. However, I would like to add a second analog synthesizer with a keyboard to my system. Not having a lot of experience, I'd like some rational advice and help in decision making from others who are real musicians and have likely tried some or all of the i...

CV, trigger, etc. specifications

I may be just a bit slow, but I am having trouble finding specificatons for the I/O levels for the VX-352, CP-251, and my Voyager rackmount. Can someone point me to where they are listed? I want to use external CV's, gates, etc. from my other gear with the Voyager and a CP-251 but don't want to scre...
