Re: Seeking Ring Mod and Low Pass setting recs

I love that tremolo idea - I need to try it next chance I get. Thanks Facon. Another suggestion I have is to download the CP-251 manual. There is a patch in there that uses the mf-101 & mf-102 that you can do without the CP, the talking bass example. You just use the auto envelope or lfo from th...

Re: Feeding a negative CV to moogerfoogers

It varies from pedal to pedal. Do a quick manual read in the technical notes section at the back to find out. From what I recall, sending negative voltage wont hurt the unit, it just doesn't do anything.

Re: Building a Home Studio

That is the direction I see as well. Logic 8 barely runs on Mountain Lion, and doesn't at all on Mavericks. The cost of upgrading to Logic X to me isn't worth it when the big push is to go to GarageBand which is free. Again great software, however you may need to stop upgrading OS of the CPU its on ...

Re: Building a Home Studio

I use a 21" iMac from 2007 (4GB RAM) with a Line6 UX8 (usb 2.0) using logic studio 8. I love it, does exactly what I need it to and sounds great. Like my fellow Canadian alien, simple does it - and his stuff does sound great. What I have is even too much for most of my uses. There was a time wh...

I love industrial Velcro. It's flexibility to change layouts and holding strength are a good balance.

Voodoo Lab make a few solutions that will work for you.

this is always my favourite response: "Read the manual." You will find your answer there, however you already have since you are pleased

Add the simple 8-step program from EHX to the above suggestions and you have a whole world of beautiful analog filter wonder.

Re: A point in the right direction

Judging from the two you have indicated, the 107 gets you the most features that you seem to want. The 102 provides a slightly redundant LFO, but not totally. The 102 will also do tremolo and some other duties if you are interested. The 107 will help create sonic mayhem both musical and non; you may...

Re: Noisy mf-104m artifacts at short delay settings

I have found a bunch of uses for both the noise and the degrading awesomeness. It is musical when you add a midi controller / play the knobs. If you have a parametric EQ you can dial the wining frequency back a bit & pull all others forward. Other effects work to move some noise to the side so t...

Re: Recently discovered the Minifoogers

I gotta say that is a sweet option - especially if incorporated with the whole minifooger line.

Personally I need the flexibility to reorder pedals, so this won't do but it still is really useful!

Re: Noisy mf-104m artifacts at short delay settings

The delay multiplier is just that, it takes the stock "quiet" range and multiplies by a factor of 2, 4 or 8. When at 8 for example, the shortest delay time is longer, and the max delay time is much longer. In between the two exrtremes, you will retain the quiet portion and quickly get into...

Eventually you will have most of them. :D    Immediatly, if you are into stereo separation and better than the rest tone then ClusterFlux. This has quickly become my go to fooger that just makes thing right - great on dull tracks / digital stuff that needs some warming / natural ...

Re: CV tempo sync for MF delays

This is not a solution to the OPs request & you are showing a major lack of knowledge for implentation of your product. The delay - any stock Moog delay - WILL NOT respond to CV clock pulses to set the delay time. This product does not offer a constant voltage solution where pulses are interpret...

Re: "standard way" to use the analog delay serie 500

EQ is an extensively useful tool. It is critical to use EQ techniques to convey instruments and space. When you are a strong engineer, you are able to pick mics and preamps to express a certain frequency curve. Following the delay with an EQ simply allows for better mix placement or as you say poten...
