Is there MIDI input? If so, can it do MIDI->CV? What about changing the pedal settings via MIDI?

As long as I'm daydreaming about sending fixed voltages from tap tempo, here's another idea. How about being able to set fixed voltages from the expression pedal, but fixed in a stair-step fashion. My thought is that you could use this to control the frequency of the ring mod. Heel back is C, a litt...

I'm not totally sure, but I think that it does have tap tempo. However, the tap tempo is used to set the rate of the LFO.

One common thing to do is use either an LFO or the Sample and Hold to modulate the delay time. If you attenuate the CV quite a bit, then you'll get a pretty lush chorusing sound. If you attenuate it less, you'll get seasick. I second the comment about putting the ring modulator in the effects loop o...

Re: MP-201 - thoughts on use with Foogers

AFAIK, the Tap function on the 201 only syncs an LFO, so you would be able to modulate Time, but perhaps not derive tempo from it. Having said that, you could pre-program a certain voltage for a particular song. Hopefully, they'll have an option to set a voltage from two taps. It seems like it woul...

Sorry for the slow follow-up. I returned the pedal to Moog and they got it back to me very quickly. I think I remember that they replaced the chip and touched up some solder joints. It has worked fine since I got it back.

MP-201 - thoughts on use with Foogers

I thought it would be informative to brainstorm ideas for using the MP-201 with different Foogers. I'm sure I'm misunderstanding some of the specs, but here are some ideas I've had: Analog Delay: Assign one button/CV to be a tap tempo for delay time. Moog gets bonus points if they give us different ...

I have a Line 6 Verbzilla that I really enjoy using. The controls are a bit hard to read, but it has a few reverbs that are unique, at least unique for a $100 effects pedal.

I called Moog and spoke with a tech, got an RMA number, and sent it back this morning. Excellent customer service so far.

After playing around with it some more, it looks like the problem is intermittent. Sometimes when it powers up it will work normally, sometimes it won't. I'll talk to Moog tomorrow and see what I need to do.

It turns out it isn't working correctly with any of my Moog power supplies (I have a few of the 500 mA power supplies). I can't get it to do more than 12 repeats. Bummer. I guess it is broken. Not a good sign for a pedal that has seen only home use and one session since I got it a few months ago. Br...

Analog Delay power puzzle

I was using my Analog delay on a session tonight and noticed it wasn't behaving normally. I couldn't get it to do more than a few repeats and it just sounded kind of dull. On a whim, I changed power supplies with the one that was plugged into my Ring Modulator. All of the normal sounds from the dela...

Guys, did I miss something here? I thought there is a +/- knob on the CP-251 which inverts the signal. Is there a newer design?
I think what the poster meant is that the attenuators on the new CP-251 can invert the signal. If so, very cool.

The first repeat is not a repeat at all, but your dry signal appearing at the output. Why not turn the Mix to 10, then you will only hear the delayed signal. The only problem would be trying to sync without hearing the initial signal. P.S Envelopes (and inverted envelopes) sound really cool on the ...

Delay loop question

I just got a 104Z and really dig it. One thing that has me puzzled is the loop. I was expecting the effect in the loop to affect all of the repeats. As it is now, I hear the note I play, the first repeat, and then only the second (and third, fourth, etc.) have the effect on them. Is that normal? Why...
