Re: 1974 Moog Synthesizer Accessory Operation Manual

Thanks for this... A piece of history indeed.

Obviously, the 1120 pedal shown in the Operation manual is different than that owned by most people. I have three 1120's, all without the switch. The Moog accessories service manual (993-043290-001) does not depict or mention the switch either.

I see on your equipment list that you have a MF-101. The Env Out of your MF-101 will trigger the SubP nicely. It does my Minitaur.

Re: Slim Gate in from drum trigger?

Just on top of my head, and without having tested it... it seems to me you got everything you need. You can program 2 different midi-to-CV channels (gate and note) from two different incoming midi channels with the MP-201. Put the notes on midi channel 1, the drum on midi channel 10 (standard drum m...

Re: Noob question: Roland EV-5 with minifoogers?

Sure about that? An expression pedal powered by a +5 volts supply (ring) can only provide positive voltage.

The LP I know for sure is fine. The Slim is fine too, according to literature. Taurus 3 manual states only 0 to +5 volts for pitch and filter CV input, so that would be a no.

Re: How to use the full range of the cp251 with a Sub Phatty

As you witnessed, you get only the top half of the wave on an LFO modulation wave because CV input is 0 to +5v only on the SubP The CP-251 LFO wave is -2.5 to +2.5v. Running through an attenuator can only attenuate that... that's what it's is made for. You can patch the CP-251's to the mult, from th...

Re: How to convert CV to MIDI?

Will another Roland controller be able to do this? Or another guitar foot controller (from any brand)? Well the Roland PK-6 will do that... 1 channel only and it's $900 (cough, cough), but it does other things too ;) I do have a PK-6 but I never used it in that fashion. Now seriously, there is anot...

Re: EP-2 working only as on/off trigger

No clue. Expression pedals are simple devices, containing only a pot. You can not damage it under regular use. Something else must be the matter, although there's always the possibility of defective wiring inside the pedal.

Re: Is Filter CV IN - TRS type ?

Its a misnomer to call the two wires of a DC signal negative and positive. DC can be negative voltage. The so-called negative wire is actually the ground and the positive is the hot lead but that can be negative voltage if it is fluctuating DC (like in an analog synth) vs a power supply voltage, whi...

Re: Is Filter CV IN - TRS type ?

I don't know about the MS-01, but I have a Korg MS-04 pedal and it correctly generates -4 to +4 volts lfo waves. That's not the moog capable voltage range of -5 +5 but that's a lot. The CP-251 LFO output is -2.5 to +2.5 and that's already too much for "expressive" modulation and it has to ...

Re: How to convert CV to MIDI?

This is one of the first thing I did when I got my Etherwave Plus a few years back. Albeit expensive (there's always e-bay), the Roland FC-300 foot controller will do that for you .... times 3, that means it will midify both your volume and pitch cv from the Etherwave and leave you with an extra cv-...

Hi Portamental; I'm back. I am ready to implement any features you'd like to specify. I've already done a few things... Hey I am back too... so busy this year marketing my new products... Anyway.... here's my suggestion for implementing the much awaited legato-muti-trigger from the panel. Legato/Mu...

Machine looks real clean too. If you ever wanted to play the resonance induced sine wave, the MG-1 is the best Moog for that.
