Re: moogerfooger low pass filter and lovetone meatball
the mutron/meatball uses leds/ldrs to swing the filter. if you had a cv to led brightness circuit you could make a mutron filter that swung with cv. you could also use the cv to led brightness circuit for a bunch of other citcuits like the univibe. check my project based on the mutron http://www.you...

Re: SUB PHATTY AUDIO INPUT HISSING INTO LOGIC
the sub phatty needs to run into an "instrument in" jack of a soundcard - not line in. they have different voltages of signal level. the reason you are getting hiss is because the sub phatty signal has to be amplified so much by the rca to usb adapter that its also amplifying the ground no...

Re: Any Octatrack users?
I half disagree: some will click with an instrument that doesn't inspire others. yeah maybe some people have the patience to sit down with a machinedrum and learn it. maybe the machinedrum is easier than the octa. i had a flick through the machinedrum manual and this is what i saw at first glance m...

Re: Sub Phatty - Is this a filter problem?
have you updated to the latest firmware? there was an issue with one of the knob modes in earlier firmware, where the knobs would not set values correctly. subsequently some knobs would never reach 100% or 0% at either end of the knob. set your knob mode to snap mode and see if that fixes it. cheers

Re: Any Octatrack users?
a friend of mine has the octa and the machinedrum. he's a successful producer with high aptitude. i asked him what he thought of them. this was his response. "they are great, but they took me ages to master. 6 months" 6 MONTHS! are you f kidding me?? that is a joke! if a product is designe...

Re: RML Circuit Bent Mutron III w/ 6 Step Knight Rider Seque
you're right that no on would mod a mutron iii for this... but that's the point. YOU chose the Mutron. THEY want you to do it with something cheap. That's why they put the $70 limit on it. yep. i could have done a kit for $25. i did mine for free using scraps on my work bench. and it doesn't say ex...

Re: RML Circuit Bent Mutron III w/ 6 Step Knight Rider Seque
well moogfest they got back to me they said i needed to "utilize a pre existing physical product" (paraphrase) which kind of sucks. for me "circuit bending" does not necessarily mean "physical device bending". imo i bent the circuit of an existing device and created a n...

Re: RML Circuit Bent Mutron III w/ 6 Step Knight Rider Seque
i will make a proper video, if i get told it's ok for entry. i am starting with an existing device, in the sense that im not starting with a new design. no one is going to actually modify their existing Mutron III. have you seen the asking prices on ebay ;) besides if i create the boards from scratc...

Re: William Onyeabor - Atomic bomb bass line
this is what i hear electric bass guitar. sounds like a fender precision bass. electric guitar. (with light phasing) some variant of electric piano (or poorly recorded beat up piano) some variant of a string machine. said variant of a string machine played through a phaser (badly twiddled live) drum...

RML Circuit Bent Mutron III w/ 6 Step Knight Rider Sequencer
hey guys- was wondering what you thought of this for entry into the moogfest circuit bending comp. are you allowed to take parts of a schematic from a circuit and recreate it or do you need to have a physical existing unit to mod? there are so many requirements to entry, i dont want to waste my time...
