I can't think of a single monophonic performance synthesizer that I'd prefer for the price of the LP, we all got our money's worth (Well, except for those of us with EP-1s haha). It's ridiculous to complain about new products rendering previous ones obsolete, that's really not true in the case of Mo...

Phony spoilers?
I found that Spanish site previously mentioned and did a free online translation, it's kind of funny: Moog Music has prepared two sorpresitas for the fair NAMM that is on the verge of being celebrated; the first one is the new Multi-Pedal MP-201. It is based on the EP-2; will function with CV and MI...

Mr Lightner (or anyone qualified to answer), Dave Smith's stuff is surface-mount technology and Moog still uses discrete components, correct? It seems this is how DSI's price point can be brought so low. If a surface-mount component fails can it be replaced? Or does the entire board have to be repla...

I think that Moog does not really need to make a polyphonic synth. After all, Moog's expertise lies vastly in monophonic synths. Would a poly Moog be cool? - sure, but I rather see Moog further innovating their concept of monophonic synths. In that sense, something like the LP and P8 could happily ...

Those upper connections are for resetting the sequencer to Stage 1. They connect to the switch so the user can determine the number stages for the sequence. Visually it appears it might be an error, but I don't believe it is. Pin 3 sends a pulse at Stage 1, at this setting the sequencer would reset ...

Duh. This picture is more appropriate. I don't know why I thought coins and a pencil made sense.

willi, Yes, it was a successful project. Here is a picture I just took next to some everyday objects to give you an idea how big it is. It is a bit smaller than a Fooger pedal which is what I was going for. I used 16mm pots instead of standard 24mm ones so they'd fit onto a smaller panel. I bought m...
