Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Greetings, Moogers! It's been a while since I last visited, so I'll post my latest bit of recorded music. I did this earlier today: https://soundcloud.com/glacieracademy/wend-arpeggi The sounds are all from the DSI Pro-2 (I sold my Voyager to get it  ), and I ran it through Strymon El Capista...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Hey Guys! I'm gonna throw my latest work into the fray. I've been playing synths, programming, playing bass and writing songs (with my singer/cowriter) in SlowEarth since 2001. We've released 6 albums and this latest one was an absolute bear. I actually worked on it for almost 5 years! It's a conce...

Re: Realistic MG-1 Polyphony
If you're playing chords on a synth, you're usually just playing straight chords. Marc, I must preface this by saying I have a tremendous amount of respect for you as a synthesist, and a human being. You have taught me much in the way of analog synthesis, and without your videos YouTube would be a ...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
https://thetaraexperiment.bandcamp.com/album/the-fiat-murders This is quite possibly the most accessible Tara Experiment album to date. Usually known for their Lo-Fi weirdness, the group has recorded a soundtrack for the film “The Fiat Murders”. Is this your music? You weren't clear on that in the ...

Re: Voyager/Old School: your best of all time?
The Voyager OS is my favorite instrument of all I have ever owned, or even played. I have never connected with an instrument this deeply. I have gotten comfortable with it, and for a while that did stop me using it, or I'd try to use other synths first, to come up with new sounds. I have since learn...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
I don't mind setting up a new computer, I just hate having to spend that much money on something that will lose 100% of its value in 5 years. Buying a $1200 synthesizer isn't something you have to think about for ages; if you find that you don't like it, you can sell it back for most, if not all, of...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Yeah, I caught that too. It was actually not the synth, but the Machinedrum which I'd programmed some tonal sounds into, that I never bothered to make sure was in tune with my synth. I suppose I could go back and tune it up with the synth and redo it, but I don;t think the original feeling would be ...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Been feeling the cold weather here in Minnesota lately, so I made some frosty sounds to let out some of the frustration. Here is the first of what will most likely be many wintery tracks: https://soundcloud.com/glacieracademy/third-winter I've gotten some new equipment since my last post here as wel...

Re: dreaming of the Voyager's successor...
People talk and talk and talk about how much "better" the original model D is than the Voyager, but you must remember that "better" is subjective, and goodness is in the eye of the beholder. The Minimoog may have a warmer, buzzier, brighter overall tone, but the Voyager has exten...

Re: Voyager Old School keyboard non-responsive?
That happened to me once as well. I think it is caused by the panel being tilted too far forward. The cable is just long enough to connect the panel to the keyboard/wheels, and so when the panel gets tilted forward, the cable gets quite tense, and can come unplugged quite easily. Good thing it's a s...
