Re: phatty and mini
Both have CV INputs, but in order to inter-connect them, you'll need CV OUTputs. The Phatty can be upgraded with CV Outs, and this option will greatly expand it's capabilities. The Phatty also has an INput for external sources, so you can plug the OUTput of the Minitaur into the INput on the Phatty,...

Re: Slim Phatty or Minitaur?
If you want both basses AND leads, the Phatty is the answer. Minitaur is a bass synth only.

Re: Little Phatty & Guitar Pedals - Testing
Nice. There's lots of awesome fx we can use to create new sounds and textures, but a good delay is almost a given. My DD-20 is on at all times.

Re: Little Phatty Stage II problem!
There is no device to regulate the power that will help, without spending an enormous amount of money. Things like "power conditioners", are not capable of actually stepping up the voltage from the wall. Short of moving to a new location, I'm not sure what the answer is here, but feel for ...

Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
No one does a better job showing this new synth off than Amos. He's got me convinced I *need* this SubP. Maybe if Bob were still here, but in his absence, Amos is the MAN!! Thanks.

Re: Little Phatty Stage II or Sub Phatty?
I don't know if this will help you decide, But I own a Little Phatty Stage II, and while I'm also interested in the Sub Phatty, there's NO WAY I'd get rid of my LP to do it. Both are great little synths, so either would be a great choice, but 25 keys vs 37 keys is a BIG deal.

Sennheiser HD280 Pro. For $100, pretty good set of phones.

Re: I know this is a Moog forum but...
What a year this is turning out to be, so many new synthesizers. But 12 voices with 4 oscillators each seems a bargain at 3K, digital or not. It's another "hybrid" synth from DSI, but I thought it sounded pretty dern good.

Re: 28 minutes of Amos w/the Sub Phatty
I was alreading thinking about how a Sub Phatty could fit into my set-up, and that video answered all my questions. I think I'll wait until I can "feel the keys" when they're in stores, but I'll prolly snap one up then. And yeah, an 8 step sequencer would be the icing, if it were possible.

Re: MuRF/MIDI MuRF difference?
For one thing, the MIDI Murf has MIDI. Other than that, the bass murf had it's own frequncy points, and the regular murf had a different set. The MIDI Murf combines the 2, but not ALL of them. It has some from each.

Re: New ExperimentalSynth.com website
The Fooger vids are great. Sadly, I sold my Bass Murf years ago, but still have a freq box and ring mod. Someday, when I finally get the CV out mod done to my LP, I'll be able to use them. For now, they sit unplayed, because they are, (or seem to be) of limited use without a synth with CV outs.

Re: Moog delay - alternatives
Well, ANY analog delay would be the cheaper alternative. But, a digital delay will give you far more options, (including double tap/reverse/ping-pong, etc), not to mention much longer delay times.

Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
It looks great, the demo's (so far) sound great. People were talking about selling their Little Phatty's to buy this. That's the last thing I'd do. They might well make a nice pair, but I don't thinking trading one for the other is a move up. I only just figured out how to navigate the LP's master m...
