If by that you mean can you record via MIDI the movement of the Mother's knobs, then no you can't. However you can record any automation you want in Ableton then send it via MIDI to the Mother.

Yes it will. Just run a cable from the CV output on the Mother to the CV input on the Werkstatt. This is where the mini-phone extension comes in real handy.

Re: which moogerfooger would/did you double up on first?

I didn't see this thread when it first came around 10 years ago (zombie thread alert!), though I have at least two of everything except the MF-101. My first place prize goes surprisingly to the MF-103 Phaser. Two Phasers in series is more than double the fun. Second place goes to the MF-102 Ring Mod...

Two MF-102's is the cat's meow. Definitely the way to go. Buy one now and a second one when you can afford it.

Contact Moog directly. If anyone can assess the problem from your description, it would be them.

It won't.

You either spend the money and protect your gear or you cheap out and are always looking over your shoulder.

Re: High pass filter

I was playing last night on a Behringer PA, just a crappy 230 dollar thing but that is relatively new. It started smelling badly and then I heard a loud popping sound and it quit working altogether while playing at not even half of its capacity!!! So I don't know if that is a coincidence or not... ...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

Ya, well I ordered four. :P

Okay, two of them were for friends and only two for myself... Still, I'll have four at my disposal for a few days until my friends come over to pick them up.

Got a great deal on them since I ordered so many.

Re: Coming back... 3k for a new select series?

Armen's is the eBay company that has the gall to sell a Moog MP-201 for $900+ and a MF-104SD for $1500.

I'd buy a used one before they'd ever see a dime from me...

02) Has the quality of this software improved since this thread went down, or is it still an awful horrible thing that should be avoided? I'm happy to be proven wrong, though everything that I've ever heard or seen from SoundTower speaks of unfinished crapware. Support is minimal to non-existant, i...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

There are plenty of things going on 'behind the scenes' that we rarely get to hear about. For instance, I was contacted by my sales guy who forwarded a letter from Moog outlining what happened to be a bad batch of components that they found and are having to replace. This set back production by abou...

FWIW, not all SS Voyagers have the backlighting 'always on a little'. Mine turns all the way off.

Ankaret,

Yes, you're understanding things correctly. My sense is that the CP is more useful than the VX if you're only staying within the one box. However both can be used with the Voyager alone.

Re: mf-102 different than other foogers?

I have two MF-102's with SN 9xxx and 15xxx. Both of them have firm knobs and hex locknuts on the footswitch. Perhaps your SN is 5xxx not 5xxxx? There's also the very real chance that someone replaced the hex nut with a circular one. I've yet to see a MF with circular nuts.
