Plug the audio outputs of the Voyager into your soundcard inputs, arm a track and hit record. You can also record MIDI at the same time so you can edit tracks later and then do other takes. Unless you have a decent room, decent mics, decent mic preamps, and a good amp system you'll get much better r...

Grateful Dead Mars Hotel/Wake Of The Flood

I've been able to get some pretty good "Wake Of The Flood" ending solo tones out of my Voyager, but I just caught something the other night on Mars Hotel I'd like to try. On "Loose Lucy", during the "Yeah........ yeah......... yeah......... yeah" part there is a very co...

Re: Post Subject

Is the glide mod really necessary though, and would it affect any patches set up for the system as-is? Hello, The glide mod gives the Vger a character a bit closer to the Minimoog D. Also, it does affect all patches that currently have the glide function selected. You can check out the difference i...

WTF over??? I looked at the field upgrade LAST WEEK and it was $400US including the v3.x upgrade. Today it's $450???? WTF is going on?????? And can the glide fix only be done with a return to the factory????????????? $185 to fix poor design seems a bit steep to me. And what's the extra $50 for this ...

Plug an expression pedal into the Delay Time CV input and you essentially have a whammy pedal that will shift pitch as you shift the delay time. Longer delay times lower the pitch.

Sounds cooler than hell on a guitar.

Thanks for the reply.

I thought I needed another CV.

Synth.com makes an instrument interace that tracks pitch, amplitude, and outputs gate. With a power supply it's probably $250.

I wonder if he could put one in a single horizontal rackspace.......

I'm thinking about running some lead-type tones through a KLON Centaur and a Rivera Quiana 212 55watter. Should remove paint at about 6 feet or so. Give that dog next door something to think about too. I use a couple different setups. For recording, it's the instrument amps on a Davisound TB-...

MF-101 Envelope Out Question

I feel like a dumbass asking this one, but I gotta ask.......... Can the CV from the Env Out control the Pitch CV input on a Voyager and track it halfway decently??? I'm thinking mult the Env Out CV, use one of the mults through the Lag filter and an Attenuator for a Gate and another straight throug...

From what I understand you can choose from 50 temperaments and force any note. I'm sure microtonal stuff is not a problem. I called BigCityMusic yesterday and was told a new batch should be arriving soon with a new firmware update. If you have any interest at all I would call the guy in Ontario. He'...

http://www.signalarts.ca/satspecs.html http://www.bigcitymusic.com/product.asp?pid=1000540 This is the only sequencer I have found so far that combines both MIDI and CV with rotary encoders and per-step pitch display. Apparently the Doepfer MAQ is difficult to dial in exact pitches, where the Signal...

You're fine using TRS plugs. No need to clip any wiring.
