Re: if you could change 1 thing about the LP

I wouldn't change a thing, as I like the current price tag. If I needed any more features, I'd get a Voyager.

Re: Broken Polymoog 203a value?

Thanks for all of the input. It does seem like a lot of headache for a board that is somewhat pseudo-polyphonic with a shared filter, etc. I agree about the CS80, Chroma, and T8 - I'd spend months poring over schematics and inhaling solder fumes to get those monsters up and running. I'll make an off...

Re: Broken Polymoog 203a value?

I'm thinking in the $500-$750 range, maybe more but not over $1000. Again, I don't even know how much a fully-functioning one goes for.

Broken Polymoog 203a value?

I know someone selling a dead Polymoog 203a with the polypedals for best offer. Cosmetically, it looks good, and he said it 'was partially working before he moved it', and now it is not working at all. After much googling, I have yet to establish an estimated value for this keyboard. Can anyone reco...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware

I wonder if the problem lies within the "ENTER=PLAY NOTE, NOTE xx Momntary" section. I noticed that pressing ENTER in this section causes a note to drone, then terminates after playing a note on the keyboard.

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware

To add my two cents, I recently purchased a pair of Slim Phattys, and had the stuck note problem when using my Yamaha Motif 7 as a controller. However, when I switched over to a Roland A-37, the problem seems to have disappeared.

Re: What inspired your interest in Moog?

I remember coming home from school as a lad before anyone else was home, pulling out ELP's debut LP, and CRANKING Lucky Man. The end solo gives me chills to this day. Then I got eventually got Brain Salad Surgery and the ball really started rolling..

Re: Analog Polysynth?

It'd be nice if Moog made the Phatty duophonic and the Voyager triphonic. Sure, there'd be shared envelopes and filters, but it'd be great to be able to play 2 or 3-note chords per unit, allowing for even wider chords with true polyphony more units are chained in to a system. The ARP Quadra has this...

Re: Analog Polysynth?

I don't see how it would be much of a stretch for Moog to take the guts of 8 Phattys and squish them into a keyboard or 5U rack. Unless they decided to add more features, the daisy-chained Phatty video makes it apparent to me that most of the R & D is already done, so I can't imagine it'd be too...

Re: The A6 Andromeda is no more..had a thought!

I think I'm going to have to find an A6 for myself. I tried one at Sam Ash about 9 years ago, and was perhaps a bit hasty in basing my negative view of the machine on some of the presets I heard at the time. However, after going through the paces with a P5, T8, and Omega 8, which are very fine synth...
