Re: NAMM 2017 - Moog Music
Don't tell me that a modern and updated 8 voice version of the MemoryMoog (without all the problems of the past, due to the limited technology back then) wouldn't sound appealing to many Moog customers ? It may appeal to some, but not to me, or to others who look to Moog to be the absolute masters ...

Re: NAMM 2017 - Moog Music
Why rush things ? Because other companies, like DSI and even newcomer Behringer now, are doing what Moog Music should have done a long time ago: they offer great sounding polyphonic analog synths, but none of them have that "Moog sound", that's why. I have no desire whatsoever for a polyp...

The FreqBox was also insanely expensive for what it did. The internal circuitry was rudimentary, to say the least.bichuelo wrote:I use the FreqBox and it works great, unfortunately it is discontinued

Re: mother 32 amplification
I believe that record an analog synthesizer's sound to PC is killing it's soul... Magnetic recording such as Revox example can save it's originality, but making live music is always different. I am not a professional musician or a producer, in years i have used lots of different vintage analog synt...

Re: LFO going mad
Thanks Stevie! Well, you're probably right, and I agree! But sometimes it has effects, some way or another.. ;) And, often there are persons with a lot of competence in these nerd worlds, willing to help out. Isn't this what forums is about? =) Rumori: Based on my description of the problem, it is ...

Re: Sub37: Crackling/fading Headphone output
If replacing the headphones fixed the problem, then there was nothing wrong with the output of the synth, right? I can vouch that Soundmagic phones are so wonderful they will fix all of your audio problems (real or imagined, medicated or not). Shitty amp --- Soundmagic Phones :D Awful sounding synt...

Re: 2 Mothers - OSC sync?
Just to add to that, the firmware in the M32 also handles the MIDI input and 'assignable output', but this doesn't help with oscillator sync. There is simply no sync input in the M32 oscillator's hardware design. No amount of firmware changes will ever fix this. Maybe a Mark II Mother will arrive in...

Yes, missing note off message.
So you buy probably the best, most expressive performance synth ever made and you drive it from Logic. Sweet Jesus

Re: Help! The Source is killing me!!!
Keep us posted. I've restored quite a few Moog synths, but all comparatively simple analogue ones (Model D, Prodigy, Rogue etc). Tackling a complex hybrid design like the Source would certainly pose a challenge for me, and all due respect to you for tackling the job. It would be tremendous if you co...

Re: Stand recommendations for Sub 37
I'm a big fan of Quiklok stands (http://www.quiklok.com/). I'm reorganising/downsizing my personal studio space and redecorating, so stuff is all over the place with my Sub-37 currently sitting on an 'Addis Cirrus' Ironing Board - it's a bit wobbly for fast passages and I need to take it off when I ...

Re: mother 32 amplification
If you're using a decent mixer you won't need a separate headphone amp. I normally use a Mackie 402 VLZ-4 with my modular (which includes 3 x Mother 32 and a lot of other stuff). It works well. I can patch signals directly from the M32s or any other modules directly into a Mackie 402 channel with no...
