Re: Sub 37 headphone jack crackling and distorted
Same here but it only happens occasionally, out of the blue (I rarely use the headphone socket so it would probably happen more if I did). Definitely sounds like an op-amp or something because it's random and maybe after pushing it a bit. If it was a wiring problem I'd suspect it to be more often an...

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist
1. Assigning the arpeggiator/sequencer to only one of the osc and be able to play melodies with the other osc. - Can this be done in a future update? It would surely raise the jamability to another level. I actually thought this was possible, then i found out the melody played is following the same...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure I feel comfortable taking it apart, especially since it is brand new. I contacted Tech Support and the seller I purchased from to see what they say. This is really disappointing considering what an awesome synth it is. Quality concerns was the reason why I waite...

Re: Sub sound versus Sub 37 sound
On a side note, the fit and finish of the Sub37 was very different from any other Moog product I own or have tested. From the wood panels, to the knobs, to the surface of the knob board...it almost felt like it was manufactured by a different company. I wonder if the Mother-32 is similar. I assume ...

Re: Sub37 - Resonance knob failure
Volume pot on mine IS still playing up afterall. So it's def gonna need replacing at some point. Filter pot is still ok (touch wood) and haven't heard any res pot probs (yet). Moog have been very helpful with another issue, VERY helpful so I can't fault their service so go easy on them - they'll sor...

Re: Save preset on sub 37
That's how it's done on pretty much any synth going back to when patch storage began. Hit "Compare" then bring up your bank/patch number of possible slot and play the sound to see if it's "blank" or if not if you care to overwrite it etc. It's not really a workaround it's just ho...

Re: Subphatty-how to save all presets to computer
Either connection is fine - it's still seen as midi by your computer. You could record the midi into a track in your DAW or preferably get something like the free 'midi-ox' (google it) and do a proper sysx-dump to that and save the file. It's very simple to work with patch dumps with the Sub 37 as i...

Re: Sub 37, SN, owner, location list
Some times it does not store the patch correctly to memory. Just a note on this - it's seems it's a kind of bug that means after you compare a slot (to save) you MUST repress a key to trigger your new sound before proceeding to save. Then your new sound should be saved fine. This has caught me out ...

Re: Sub37 Keys seem to be turning yellow
Interesting. This has happened on a number of other modern synths with cheap Chinese keys (Alesis Ion for example). I'll keep an eye on mine. I do NOT smoke, it's kept in a super clean home studio room, no sunlight on it and I also have it covered when not using it with the official moog canvas cove...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
Thanks for the kind words guys. My ramblings usually get me nothing but attacks on other forums. Anyway - small update to my 'volume pot' issue, it appears to have sorted itself out so I guess it just needed a little more use and have been testing it the last week (often changing volume pot p...

Re: Sub 37 - Non-Tribute Edition?
My box has a pic of the non tribute I stare at all the time..... Box and manual (if you meant Sub 37) does NOT show a 'white' or 'silver' face non TE. It's just an artistic colour inversion, as done on many techy products (like line art or something) it's not to imply a different colour scheme. Als...

Re: editor
TBH I want this more for the librarian aspect than for any DAW integration or editing via mouse/software (yuck!) I bought the moog to feel it, use it, touch it.. so that's how I'll always program it. HOWEVER it would be nice to see all parameters of a patch in detail, especially as there's currently...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
Those smaller teal sealed pots actually have a much nicer feel IMHO. I sent my Sub37 in for a warranty repair of a different front panel issue (minor thing that didn't really affect playability) and it seems they swapped mine for the new metal-shaft big pot. ..They both feel good, I just like the s...
