Re: Minimoog Voyager Presets Problem
Can you change or store parameters in the "defect" preset banks / slots? Or are those slots "read only" in the sense of user interaction, not in the sense of factory reset? If there are presets which work, and others don't, I assume the EEPROM(s) is / are defect.

Re: How to record etherwave theremin to logic
Perhaps the Theremin output signal is too weak for your audio post processing. If a weak signal is amplified by a post processing stage which expects a stronger signal noise is added. Moog uses Line level as output for most instruments. That is 1Vpp maximum. Check whether your post processing equipm...

Re: Taurus 3, tap tempo for arpeggiator?
I did find any hints neither.
What might work is a small programmable MIDI controller which processes what ever touches / commands and sends program change MIDI instructions to the Taurus to select prepared preset slots with corresponding arpeggiator settings.

Re: Moog Purchased by Inmusic ?
Yes, that's right. Moog does not want to invest in firmware updates and / or warranty processes because it's costs only without any revenue. And - firmware bug analysis is just a pain in the a$$ - I know this because I was after a bug in my 960 Sequencer Clone in the graphical VCO functionality, whi...

Re: Model 10+15 Oscillator Tracking
I run two oscillator banks in my Moog System 55 Clone I built over the years. One is my 901ABBB bank, and the other is a Minimoog oscillator bank I constructed the same way as bank, meaning a separate TMINIA oscillator driver and three TMINIB s. This topology does not exist in the Moog world, AFAIK,...

Re: micromoog need help!
I have just a low resolution service manual of the Micromoog, but it seems that the filter ladder consists of one 3046 array and some single transistors Q505 to Q508. Correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm right: Did you replace the 3046 *AND* the transistors? I recommend to replace all parts of the filter...

Re: Micromoog doepfer dark link connection
No, this won't work, I'd say. I am not owner of a Micromoog, but according to the service manual you must provide the sequencer CV to the Micromoog EXT. OSC I/P jack and the sequencer gate to the EXT. S-TRIG I/P jack. Please note that most sequencers provide a voltage gate per default which has to b...

Hi David,
nice to hear / read from you. Hope you are fine.
Where did you send the mail to? I've not received anything yet.

Re: Model 10 Calibration
Yes, Herb and Bob - the pioneers of modular synthesizers. They gave inspiration to all of us. I found an old post of noddyspuncture where he answered my question concerning temp stabilisation: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=35289 where he says that there is a tempco solution no...

Re: Model 10 Calibration
Or maybe a gut shot would reveal which IC's they used? Well, seems that someone did this with Gene Stopp, who is one of the Moog Modular Reissue architects and techs and whom I wanted to ask about the 901(A) reissue: https://forums.musicplayer.com/topic/185189-rip-gene-stopp/ Very sad to read this....

Re: Model 10 Calibration
Do we know what Moog did to improve tuning on the rev2 RI model 10? I don't have any info, unfortunately :( I really would like to know whether they replaced the CA3019 diode array solution of the 901(A) with something that works. So if anybody of the Model 10 RI owners could provide a service manu...

Re: Model 10 Calibration
Good info: is that what the Voyager uses? At least: nearly. The Voyager oscillators use the MAT04 transistor array with 4 transistors, not 5. But the components "exponentiator", "heater" and "sensor" are implemented according to the schematics. So the VCO stability sho...

Re: Model 10 Calibration
I wonder if there is a way to build a temperature box around that part of the circuit? Seal it off & add some kind of temp sensor that would keep it stable Some people do that indeed, but this is only a part of the show. The point is that you have two different and independent temperature curve...
