Re: Route LFO to Noise?
Hmmm. . . you mean using noise as a source for modulating some other parameter. Right, MrPete? I think the quote in your post is about the opposite scenario, actually.
Gonna have to check out that "Analog Days" book. Thanks for the headsup!

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
...Hey, if you're into drum machines, maybe you could direct me... If you're looking for reasonable lo-fi, a TR-707 might do the trick: it's got MIDI, trigger out (for analog synths), 6 and 8 bits short samples, easy to use, and usually not too expensive (between 100-300 bucks)... If you want reall...

Re: MF-104m out of tune
I dreamt it, sorry :) Anout the sine wave, I suggest you try this: use the quare LFO wave and set the amount so that is goes one octave up/down. Then select the sine LFO wave, and reduce the rate so that it comes up sloooooowly. You should be able to hear -very shortly though- the octaved note. ha!...

Re: Dose the voyager track at 1V/oct?
BHC303, did you ever try using your XL Pitch ins and outs with any other oscillators? I'm interested in using mine with some modules, either eurorack types or dotcom, and am wondering how successful I will be with the tracking. . .

Re: MF-104m out of tune
I think this is specified i the user manual: one octave at an amount of 8, two at 10. I also think it's said it can be adjusted by manipulating a trimmer. They surely can do something by phone is you're ok to open it. That's encouraging, guys. Stiiiiiiive, do you happen to know what on what page th...

MF-104m out of tune
The good people at sweetwater just sent me a new MF 104m to resolve the issues I posted about in another thread regarding the LED Light malfunctioning. I should mention that they were very cool about it, and, after checking with perry at moog to make sure that this fell within a warranty fix, they s...

Re: Over my head and I like it
EricK, thanks for sharing this. Really inspiring! I'm talking with my music engineer friend about making some synth modules to integrate with my XL, and this is great to see. Here's a question about the dot.com modules: it looks like they don't have a dedicated LFO module, but that the oscillator mo...

Re: A new respect for scratching
I agree with everything unfiltered said EXCEPT for the part about classical musicians. It is a gross misunderstanding to say that classical musicians just "read and play". Someone who is not that great could possibly be described in this way, but, at it's highest level, playing classical ...

Re: A new respect for scratching
Great video. Love Nancarrow. . . Composers are musicians, though, and a composer who directly transcribes music from his imagination onto paper or into a computer and gives it to someone to perform is no less a musician than the person who performs it. If you have a great pianist composer who sudden...
