Re: Voyager and Guitars
I hope this doesn't seem gratuitous, but this song uses 5 or 6 tracks that are all made from me running the basic guitar track (that you hear at the beginning) through the voyager's filters, which are modulated by LFOs and such. Basically, everything you hear, besides the opening synth drone (which ...

Re: Am I too stupid? :-)
Good question, SteveModana! I think I have your answer: in your patch, there is no difference because you are using On/Mod 2 as a source without anything going to mod 2. Velocity is used to shape this source, meaning that it will add to the offset of the source control voltage. If the source is just...

Re: Getting closer to Voyager discontinued with Sub Phatty?
I don't think they will dc the Voyager, it is their flagship synth and is about as perfect as it needs to be. It may very well be a synth that has ushered in this current new age of analog that we are seeing slowly bloom. I do think that there are always ways that the OpSys can be improved. Like fu...

Re: Voyager and Guitars
yes, any audio can be run into the external audio in of the voyager, which allows you to process it with the filters, envelopes, etc. one thing to keep in mind: while this will produce some great sounds, you won't be able to add any low frequencies that don't already exist in the original signal. ha...

Hey Timmy, didn't realize I had a fellow austinite on here! Greetings!
Thanks again for the nice comments, guys!
Here's a fun one shot using a polyrhythm generated by the 104m and the 108m:

Beyer DT 770 80 ohms rule. Just bought my second pair, after having my first for a couple of years.

Re: Random feature on Voyager?
Though it might be a more elaborate solution than you're looking for, max for live, which comes with Live 9, allows you to do this: you use a max for live device that represents all the voyager parameters (there is one available at www.maxforlive.com), then use a randomizing device. . .

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
Just got my first eurorack module: "MATHS" by Makenoise (it lives us to the name, believe me). Works great with my XL!
You can read about it here, in case you're interested:

Re: MF-104m out of tune
Just thought I'd update you all on this one. I just got another replacement MF 104m in the mail. Jake at Moog was really, really cool about it: he tested out a few pedals and sent me one that not only can hit the first AND second octave perfectly, it can also hit a very lovely third octave. The othe...

Re: Perfect Partner for Voyager?
For the record I plumped for a used Prophet 08 PE keyboard on eBay. Really happy with it. Haven't actually received my Voyager yet though! The distributor gave me an estimate two weeks ago that it would be with them tomorrow, so should get it Saturday hopefully! Just sold my Jen SX1000 to make some...

Re: prototype
If so, that would be consistent with MC's post on the Voyager forum: 0.93V/octave at the CV input, 1.0V/octave at the CV output Other way around CV inputs are 1V/oct CV outputs without VX-351 are 0.93V/oct CV outputs with VX-351 are 1V/oct Yes, this was what I thought Perry was saying about it. Aga...

Re: prototype
Last week, I brought my voyager XL to Switched On to see how well different oscilators tracked from the pitch CV out. ... Just thought I'd share my findings on this. . . Your input is certainly welcome. One difference with the Voyager vs the OS is that the OS has pitch CV and gate out built in on t...
