Yea I know, I mean nothing against existing Voyager owners. It's cool they have the option. But to new prospect buyers purshasing specially for the Anniversary and the so called "collectors" factor doesn't make sense. Kinda shines me off and not really care anymore if you know what I mean.

It appears from the website you can convert existing Performer Voyagers to the Anniversary for about $300-400 depending on if you want to keep your existing cabinet or not. Now it makes me wonder how special the Anniversary really is.

No problem. I know what you mean about renaming patches. Sounddiver makes this easy and fast so you don't have to scroll through the letters to rename on a synth. Just type it in! You can also rearrange banks. We need Sounddiver support.

There are oscillators. Contrast that with multiple digital oscillators whose phase and intervals are tightly controlled by the cpu. Every note sounds exactly the same. The tuning is very stable and there is no circuit error/drift to worry about in a digital synth. But because the phasing is tightly...

I'll give it a shot. I would say basically because the oscillators, filters, envelops (etc.) are analog as opposed to being generated digitally through algorithms/microprocessors. Although these algorithms are modeled after some analog synths, they just don't sound the same. This is what it means fo...

You need this then:

I hope they plan support for SoundDiver. SoundDiver is just the best app for managing all your patches and libraries.

Hey Stefan,

I don't have much experience with actual hardware sequencers. I should look into them. I've messed around with the software sequencer on Moog Modular V though.

I'm actually very fortunate and own a Virus C Indigo II. It came with a tutorial on "Programming Analogue Synths" by Howard Scarr. I believe you can download it from the Access website. It pertains to the Virus but some might find the info useful. It helped me understand alot of techniques...

What's going on kk? Let me tell you, alot of people always wonder which waveforms to start with when trying to synthesize a particular instrument. It can be difficult if you don't first know the make-up characteristics of that particular sound. And re-creating acoustic instruments on an analog subtr...

No one mentions Logic, Cubase, or DP. I've been reading some of the threads here. I think this would be a good way to go. I plan to use my Voyager with Logic, being a Logic user.

Ok, I got the answer and prompt reply from Steve with tech support. Thanks again Steve. Below is his answer as well as an additional question I had about the warming up. Steve: "We have folks who have had Voyagers out there since September 2002 - without needing tuning! We've had some come back...

Yea, I'm trying to find out. I'm very surprised know one on the boards really know. This is important. I downloaded the manual and I can't seem to find any mention of it or on the website. I emailed tech support and if they send me an anwser I'll post it here. Letting the Voyager 'warm up' is remini...

Voyager & Factory Tunings

Hey guys! My first post to this awesome forum and I have a question. I'm considering placing an order for the Voyager Anniversary Edition (hey, I like how it lights up with the lights off, like I'm in space!) when it's released. What I want to know, since it's true analog, how long will it be before...
