Re: Daisy chain
You can't 'daisy-chain' the supplied 'wall wart' to power more than one mother. You'll overload it. Why do want to do this anyway? Makes no sense.

Re: Mother-32 Dust Cover
Another vote for plastic garbage bags. I get the thick, clear ones and cut them open to form dust sheets over all my gear.

Re: Suggestions for modular stands?
Hi Rezin It's worth looking at heavy-duty catering trolleys. They are very sturdy and easily movable on their wheels, which lock in place when you don't want them to move. They are heavy and expensive (mainly stainless steel construction) but will certainly take the weight and abuse. I know a few mo...

Re: 921 clamping point?
Firstly, the 921A is an 'oscillator driver' - basically an exponential voltage amplifier - it's not an oscillator itself. The 921B is an oscillator but is linear in it's CV/frequency response. So, if you want a 1v/Oct oscillator, you use the 921A to control up to three 921Bs. The 921A also allows vo...

Re: Religious
It's an interesting question. I grew up listening to all kinds of music: classical, jazz, folk, blues, rock. Both of my parents were active musicians. In my teens one of my friends played Wakeman's 'King Arthur' on his little hi-fi set in his bedroom and that was IT. I'd never heard anything quite l...

Just wire in a 1% 100R carbon film resistor and see how it flies.

Re: New firmware ideas
It doesn't require a USB port to enable firmware upgrades though. It could be done by a sysex dump over the MIDI connection. But as far as I am aware (and I've looked into it) it's not an option.

Re: Moog Model 15
Crumbs! Moog gives you 4 Model 15s for $30 and you still gripe about the sequencer. Some people are never happy.

Re: Animoog
The Model 15 app looks and sounds absolutely astonishing. I don't have the iPad hardware to do it justice at the moment and I don't think I'd get the full experience on my iPhone 5c so I wont even go there. To the OP, get the Model 15 app if you want to learn about classic subtractive synthesis and ...

Re: New firmware ideas
After some research, the Mother 32 has NO firmware upgrade capability whatsoever. It is what it is.

Re: Suggestions for modular stands?
Hi Rezin Ok, I get it - Moog 1C modular. That's a hefty piece of kit. If it's in an educational setting then I assume you need to make it available to a wide range of statures and physical abilities. My wife works in arts education at university level and could probably advise further. What are the ...

Re: Slim Phatty - CV calibration ??
The Sub 37s external CV input is calibrated to precisely 1V/Octave - so it works. The Slim's external CV input is NOT calibrated. Same with the Voyager Old School's ext CV input - it is NOT calibrated but approximates (very roughly) to 1V/Ove. My Voyager Old School is about 1.27 V/Ove. There is a fi...

Re: New firmware ideas
Interesting. I understood that whatever firmware there is in the Mother 32 is fixed in the microcontroller and not externally upgradable. Anyone know for sure?
