Religion and Politics thread coming soon....
Just got an e-mail from Moog and am following their lead and starting a discussion of hot button issues where we can insult each other and get angry at each other, because that's what a musical instrument company should really be about, shouldn't it? So the rules are simple and as follows, discuss o...

Re: Naysayers be damned...I love the Prophet 6
Still hoping to see a worthy successor to the Jupiter-8 . I have never heard a DSI make a sound that made me think 'I Have to have it" The OB-6 sounds great but that is to the credit of the SEM, not Dave Smith and his metallic, sterile, digital sounding analog.

Re: sub 37 on beta firmware
You could make a polysynth of monosynths , so you could have up to 16 Moogs and hold down 16 notes simultaneously. I have done it with a Minimoog, Sub37 and Slim Phatty for 3 note chords so they do not have to be an identical system. Glad I could help! You are going to have an amazing time, but the ...

Re: sub 37 on beta firmware
Did you check if you are in Polychain mode ? Sounds like it is set to be 1 of 3 perhaps, just guessing. Midi Menu 3.X .....Pgs. 32-33 of the manual. Poly Number 0 Poly Max 0 may fix it.

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist
After having a Sub37 for a year and 2 months the " included in the box" editor/librarian should not be a wishlist item so I give up on that. Real Parameters on the display is absolutely essential especially since the editor is taking a couple of years and I have forgotten how I made some o...

Re: a new polyphonic Moog
I know you are just daydreaming out loud but it got me thinking... If Moog ever made a poly again it would have to cost way more than a Voyager or who buy a mono from them after that for more money or the same as a poly. So what would it cost..5K,6,more? People hoped the iPad Pro would also run OS X...

Re: is it worth to do?
Gordon Reid in Sound On Sound did an excellent review of the XL with extensive comparisons to the standard version http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jun11/articles/moog-minimoog-voyager-xl.htm I have an XL and can't compare it to the other but I can tell you that every time I take off the cover I thin...

Re: Sound Tower Voyager PlugSE fixed?
I have used it on a Mac and it works just fine. I have not used it extensively however, just a couple of times, but no problems. I see you have an XL like me and and i wanted to mention that Bank H has no place in the Software, but since H cannot be overwritten it's not such a big deal. One thing th...

Re: Default Trigger Mode / Keyboard Mode
Using the -/ +1 buttons while in those settings changes the option. So yes you can set it to Last Key and Multi Trigger. KEYBOARD MODE allows you to select one of 4 types of keyboard priority for a preset. The keyboard priority determines what happens when more than one key is pressed on the keyboar...

Re: Minimoog Voyager XL with Poly Chain and Little Slim Phat
I did a 3 voice with a Voyager XL, Sub37, Slim Phatty. Worked fine. Voyager- MIDI KEY ORDER, Maximum Keys(PolyMax), Active Key(Poly #) Sub37-Poly Number, Poly Max Little&Slim- POLY(#) of(##) You will find some quirks using mixed systems, as far as not every single panel control sent from #1 will...

Re: Which Moog to buy
If the Voyager is out of your price range then get a Sub 37, you will never regret it! The functionality blows away the the Slim and Little Phattys, although their oscillators sound more like a Voyager, but the variance setting on the 37 can achieve some of that flavor. If you havent seen it yet wat...
