Couple of things to try - 1. Make sure the Slim is warmed up before playing. Since it's a true analog synth, it can take a good 15 to 30 minutes for everything to really stabilize. 2. Last version of Filtatron "sort of" worked ~
It wouldn't automatically startup in landscape mode (a PITA if using a docking station like the iO Dock), but a quick tilt of the iPad would change the orientation.

Not available for the Slim; never has been AFAIK.
A CV kit would need to be custom designed for the Slim (the one from the the LP wouldn't fit the Slim's case).

The editor works fine with the Slim - I just use it in the Stage mode.
(Desktop version is OK; VST version sucks by most accounts...)

But, if all you need to do is load/ backup complete preset banks, MIDI-OX would definitely be cheaper!
