Bizarre, maybe the lining in the case reacted with the plastic keys? What kind of case is it?

Moog Sirin would be my choice: Minitaur is really designed for bass & can't get high notes like the Sirin. Otherwise I believe they sound quite similar.

They're both very different animals IMO. I'd keep both model D's and just save up & buy a Voyager sometime. Then you could rule the world!! Mwahahaha! That makes sense to me. Behringer doesn't need Moog to pursue it's business model, so it would be a total waste of money & resources.

Adams surely shopped the brand around, not surprised Uli would have been a potential buyer.
