Sub 37 3' setting?

I've discovered that the octave switch on the oscillators can sit between notches. Does anyone know if doing this has any adverse side effects?

Phew! At least I'm not the only one. It's backward from the Slim Phatty, too. I guess they're trying to keep us on our toes?

The patches or the tweaks? I'm willing to bet Devine designed more than a couple of the default patches.

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

So, here's a crappy video featuring Sub 37 #77 -- http://youtu.be/CcLGSvkogUk It definitely sounded a lot better in person. I quite like it. It's a whole lot more synth than I've ever had, for sure. It's going to take me a little while to really get into it. I had some issues figuring out the latchi...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

So... jsumner and voltor, I'll put you down for one youtube video each? I really hope i make the cut for a shipment this week, but not too likely as I pre-ordered mid-April. Actually, I think I might just record a video of my first exploration with it. I'm not promising it'll be good, mind yo...

My Sweetwater rep just called and said my synth has arrived. He said it is shipping out to me today.

Re: Slim Phatty firmware upgrade problems

The manual says the OS is updatable via SysEx, but nothing about the firmware. They could be separate things (though they are usually one and the same). So, I don't know.

Re: Slim Phatty firmware upgrade problems

This should be a lesson in "if it ain't broke don't fix it." If you have a "critical" need for the synth, and it is working as you need it to, don't go screwing around with the firmware. It sounds to me like you're going to need to contact support. But I'll say this: I am unable ...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

I would definitely like some CV _OUT_ on the Sub 37. I don't (yet) have any CV out capability, so the CV in is rather useless to me. It'd be nice if the Sub 37 would fix that for me :-/ Hi jsumners, I've been assured that the SUB 37 will not be able to have CV Outs, either initially, or via an opti...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

Oh the agony of Pre-Ordering. I too dropped the cash on 2/6/14 and have been waiting. I find the best method is to just forget about it...then when the box shows up, its like finding 1300 in your jeans after the wash. Sometimes this works out for the best. Last year I took the jump into modular. De...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

Lushr, If you trust Moog enough to do a pre-order, then you should have patience. Some of us pre-ordered the Taurus III pedals and waited well over a year for it and it was a long time before we even got to see what the product looked like or what features it had. And THEN there was a shipping dela...

Re: problem with Moog LP II and Ableton

My Slim Phatty does that occasionally. I simply turn the synth off, wait a second, and turn it back on. It usually only happens when I'm doing a lot of tweaking on a MIDI clip and synth patch at the same time. It's a pretty common problem -- http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89206&...

Re: Recalling Sub Phatty Bank Presets in Ableton Live

The documentation for Live's program changing ability is at https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/clip-view/#bank-and-program-change . Basically, open the MIDI clip in "clip view" and click the double eighth note icon under the clip box if it is not already enabled; this will open the Notes Bo...
