If the Odyssey is anything like the 2600, there is a slight learning curve. Am I right? Since the Ody has everything already patched, it's not as steep a learning curve as the 2600. It is also missing stuff like the inverters, preamp, clock, lag, reverb etc. that adds to the complexity of the 2600 ...

Some more Moog users suffer loss of gear
Here's a sad story. Go to play a gig in Brooklyn. Loose your gear while eating dinner.

That's true, but I think the point of the original poster was that lots of people were waiting for a 'fooger with ADSR and VCA, which this thing does have.EricK wrote:I think it is lacking a filter Envelope.
Anyway, all the details are here now:

I had access to one of these frequency shifters, over 20 years ago, back in my undergraduate days, in a classic analog/tape studio. The FS was amazing, but it was habit forming. Because you could always take something that wasn't quite good enough, and run it through that thing, and it would just ge...

Re: Maybe what they really should make next?
The Voyager OS. That was the point, right? To offer a product that satisfies this request? Even if it was a Minimoog twin built from the same components, it would sound different to those that are 30-40 years old. The Voyager Old School, I have no complaints. I am so glad they made the O.S. edition...

Congrats on your Odyssey. You might also want to subscribe to the Yahoo Group odysseypatch. It's fairly active from time to time and you may find some good advice there. http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/odysseypatch/ There's also this web site: http://www.arpodyssey.com/directory.html I found my...

I guess I misjudged; I somehow thought all the digital circuitry in the Voyager for Midi, memory, the expression pad in the middle, etc. were all more complicated than the guts of the Model D. Sorry also Kevin for thinking you had a waiting list. I was just perhaps misremembering an earlier version ...

Maybe what they really should make next?
Hi, all, I'm more of a lurker on this forum, but I post occasionally. Like many others, I've been scratching my head over the past year, trying to figure out if you could make yourself a Moog modular synth out of various 'fooger pedals. I love Ctrlshft's mockups and ideas. Since the release of the 1...

strange how the back slopes down, implies that it will look really funky IMO, and that maybe it won't have a huge range of CV I/O. i don't know i might be wrong (hope i am) but I just can't imagine plugging lots of things into the back of a boomerang like that. I wonder about that too. The curve on...
