Re: 19" mounting

Problem is that the Mother is only 12 1/2" wide and the 19" is, well... The Happy ending kit will definitely set you back some $$. You can buy these used, of course or make your own frame but the point is that if you drop the Mother-32 into even the smallest Z rail/happy ending kit, you'll...

Re: Complimentary Euro Rack Modules for M32(s)

I'm a MU guy primarily but I have one 19" width of Euro, primarily for modulation. The Dave Jones O'tool doesn't do a thing except show waveforms, voltages, ranges, rudimentary frequency analysis (view) so is handy for all sorts of things. It's not cheap, nothing is in Euro (you may have though...

Re: Moog expression pedal as mod wheel on Sub Phatty

Not exactly. Surely you can apply voltage via expression pedal to the Filter but it will merely open and close the filter based on your foot action; it won't be attenuation of the LFO or other sources. If you have any modular gear, you can have an external LFO into a VCA and use the expression pedal...

Re: I love Minitaur, should I buy Taurus 3???

If you play live and need a varied sound palette like high string accents (Yeah patch) and a diff patch for a long list of songs then T3 is the only option. If you just love the Taurus sound and are not into presets and don't need a midi clocked LFO or anything else fancy, a Vintage pedal is nice bu...

Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

@MC, I still have the Matrix-6 + a 6R. Like you say, absense of knobs limits it tremendously. Even two of them don't seem to warm the sound up. To heavy to ship anywhere... so I still have them. I always wanted a Matrix 12 but could never find one close enough to me that I could afford that wasn't ...

Re: Just bought a little phatty this morning and...

I'm not an expert.. once had this top of mind and fully understood it but there is a diff between version and the boot loader depending on the Phatty you have. Certainly I have the files that you have but along the way from 1.something to 2.something there was likely a change in the executive code t...

Re: Time For New Moogerfoogers!

Silly me, yes I meant looping envelope (above). This was probably said already but so many Foogers have so many useful features that fall short of being usable externally. As somebody said "the ClusterFlux is selfish with it's LFO"; The last Fooger to have external (outbound) CV was the MF...

Re: CV Gate Question

If you are handy with with electronics, you can assemble a simple 'thru' attenuator consisting of a pair of jacks and a $2 potentiometer. Once assembled, just use a voltmeter to measure the voltage and adjust until it's within a safe range.

Re: Time For New Moogerfoogers!

I still (always) wonder if they might someday make a utility CV MoogerFooger or CP/VX format device that has a pair of control voltage envelopes, a looping LFO or two, a VCA, etc. There are plenty of people with Foogertron type setups that would use such an animal. It seems to be the one thing missi...

Re: Using foot bass pedalboard with little phatty etc.

Based on the graphics on the panel, it will send an increment/decrement (up/down) patch number, or go into a mode where you can tap in a patch # specifically. E.g. if you want patch 97, you would enter some mode button (likely control), and then stomp an "A" followed by a "G". Lo...

That thing (OBX) is a monster. Every conversation ends with "OBX!" and it should. I was just talking to Tony Clark about yours and Scott's board work etc. last week when he was in Pennsylvania for our other [unmentionable] pastime.

... also, the pair of envelope generators and obviously, the multimode filter. Fascinating that Oberheim used to produce the instructions to hack up your Minimoog and it's also very interesting that you use the same trigger input as an output along with the 'special' cable that came with the origina...

Re: VX-352

Don't have one but I think you can apply control voltage into the RME via touch pad x,y, etc inputs and have the Voyager code act as if you were playing on the touchpad and it was a full Voyager.

Re: so I scored 44 prat reed keys.

If this is the auction I am thinking it is (was $45 for several days ), I was going to bid but noticed it was missing the gate buss bar so not useful on a Mini. Hard to tell without more detailed pictures, however. But there are a few experts that can advise accordingly. Take a few hi res photos the...

Re: Model D Refurb in progres... (new guy)

FWIW, my Minimoog (pictured above) was actually painted black at some point in it's life. That doesn't bother me either. It is what it is and I feel privileged to own such a fine instrument. Years ago when I first got the bug (after always wanted a digital synth in the 80s but never having the money...
