Re: TAURUS ~ ToeTap Switch to toggle NOTE LATCH?

No worries, mate :) Good news about the MIDI filtering. Have you tried running your T3 into the external input on your XL yet? Use MIDI and or Pitch/Gate CV's to trigger them together, getting some T3 bottom end underneath some XL lead sounds or something? That would be really high up on my list if ...

Re: TAURUS ~ ToeTap Switch to toggle NOTE LATCH?

I was reading the T3 manual today and the feature you want DOES excist. I cant believe i forgot about it. Enter PGM mode (hold down Transpose) then hit "Octave" that will turn Note Latch on and off with your feet. Sorry i didnt remember sooner, still better late then never, eh? That Amos t...

Re: TAURUS ~ ToeTap Switch to toggle NOTE LATCH?

I use ableton for MIDI duties. I'd definently recommend getting a DAW into your setup, so long as the kind of performance or working enviroment you have in mind would be sympathetic to having a computer on hand. Being able to clock everything to a central source is just dreamy. Add to that a plethor...

Re: TAURUS ~ ToeTap Switch to toggle NOTE LATCH?

I dont think there's a footswitch to do it. But that is a great idea for the next update. The best alternative i could give you is that your master menu remembers your most recent "location", so if you roll it over to Note Latch, then go back to preset mode, do your thing, whatever, when y...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

Goodluck.

At the end of the day though, he doesnt have anything you NEED, as everything else is availible in .pdf (provided ofcourse you can get your registration code from Moog...). Although it would be nice to have the certificate..

Mind if i ask how much you paid?

Re: What comes with a new Taurus 3? ~ ♥ LOVE ƒor T3 ♥

If you want to register at http://www.taurusbass.com/ you'll need the unique code that was printed on the certificate/letter that should have been in the box when the original owner opened it. If he cant find it, i suppose Moog may still be able to dig it up if you give them your registration number...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

Oh right.. i see, because they dont come with arpegiators of their own... I'll look into it at some point.. otherwise just send the MIDI from Ableton i guess. The idea of a polyphonic synth isnt essential to me either.. plenty of great sounding polysynths out there already software, DSP and otherwis...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

That was my understanding aswell.. MisterPete - Just out of curiousity, what exactly do you need the arpegiated notes FOR? For instance... if the T3 can send the trigger notes, why not let it send them to something else with an arp and feed it the original trigger data? I guess i can still see uses ...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

With Thru you can do that aswell though, because MIDI cables have multiple channels (16?) so you can filter out a different channel on each device all along the same cable.. But i dont think MIDI Thru can send data, so i guess thats the fundamental difference... you can use it as a primary source. D...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

Ah i see.. I've noticed that the T3 has a MIDI "Out" instead of a MIDI "Thru"... so i guess they assume its gonna be at the "end of the line" in that respect. I remember reading someone, somewhere, saying that the fact that its a MIDI Out actually makes it, in some resp...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

I'm not sure i follow... You mean you tried to control the arpeggiator with MIDI and nothing happened? I have sent MIDI to the Taurus from Ableton before via MIDI over USB, that seems to work fine. I havent tried sending it from a MIDI Keyboard over a DIN directly into the T3 yet though, as i cant f...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

About your question. The Taurus Arp, since it's bound by the pedalboard which is only 1 Octave + 1 note doesn't allow for as complex Arp sequences. I haven't tried to see if you can do this through a Midi keyboard. It's also quite awkward holding in several pedals. But the fact it's difficult to do...

Re: What comes with a new Taurus 3? ~ ♥ LOVE ƒor T3 ♥

maybe addendum/errata aswell.. but thats redundant if you have the latest FW.. there was a local power cable supplied with mine aswell (Australia) for what its worth i remember reading that Moog wont honor the warranty unless it can be returned in the original packaging (or road case i assume).. tha...

Re: The minutaur as a bass synth, not as powerful as a T3

If i was going to make a statement about that, i'd be more inclined to say that the Taurus has more performance potential right "out of the box" than a Minitaur... But in a world of MIDI and CV that can soon be remedied.. Everything else is kinda subjective isnt it? They're two different b...
