Aye, no reset to step one deserves the facepalm of the year award. I’m surprised it made it into production with out this and makes me think the designers never actually used it along with other devices.

You want to give it less Pulses Per Quarter note to get it running slower.

I can’t believe we have to buy half the knobs ourselves. :?:

Re: Origin of the name "DFAM"?

It’s a typical Moog play on words. The term “brother from another mother”means close friend and has been in use for at least several decades. The DFAM is the second device in the mother series and is aimed at drum sounds. That means it’s the drummer from the Mother series. Drummer From Another Mothe...

Re: Minitaur Longevity

I’m using a MIDI interface from the 90’s and a laptop from 2003 to edit some of my synths.
Just because something gets discontinued doesn’t mean you have to stop using it.

Re: Voyager - bypassing second filter

You didn’t hear a difference because you had a jack in both outs and spacing at 0. If you have left out connected and nothing connected to the right out you’ll get phasing and/or volume differences on some sounds because the left and right get summed. If you connect both outs and set spacing to 0, b...

Re: Voyager - bypassing second filter

anyone know why the Voyager topped out at 12K? Either your Voyager was broken or mine didn't get the memo. When using the Voyagers Oscillators or noise source it can seem like that but if you put something into the external filter input that has frequencies higher than 12k you will see/hear t...

Re: What are you using to sequence your Minitaur with?

Is that you Bob Rock ?
Sequencers are like synths. You have to try a few untill you find what works best for you.
I haven’t tried Dark Time but am mostly satisfied sequencing the Minitaur from a Cirklon.

Re: Voyager - bypassing second filter

Yes it’s true. One filter goes to the left output. The other filter goes to the right output. If you have only the left out connected you hear both filters summed to the left output. If you connect both outputs you get the filters in stereo. If you only connect the right output you bypass the filter...

Re: Minitaur 'under the hood' features and MIDI

All the editor is doing is sending/receiving MIDI so it should be possible. The main problem you will encounter is that the editor is sending 14bit cc’s but most controllers only send 7 bit cc’s. This means you don’t get such fine control and can get zipper noise on filter sweeps, etc. It can also be...

Re: Voyager Envelope Retrigger

Thanks for that.. I did try this but unfortunately it does the same - I do not believe that the multi trigger setting ensures that the envelope is re-triggered every time. It sounds like something might be broken because that’s what it’s supposed to do. Did you read this https://forum.moogmusic.com...

Re: Voyager Envelope Retrigger

Look for ”trigger modes “in the edit menu and change from single trigger to multi trigger.
Single trigger is normally for playing legato.

Re: Minitaur editor problems again!

More often than not you have to contact Moog directly with issues. The forums here can be a bit slow (especially compared to places like GS) and it's usually other users answering instead of Moog themselves. Rudi seems most active but I don't know if he deals with the editor. It’s usually firmware r...
