Is it possible for the s trig to affect the application of the 911's ?
I wonder if my V to S trig unit is under powering ?
Or is the S trig simply on/off ? I notice the modular keyboard circuit has quite a few components with a relay and + 12\-6 power.

Re: X Y controller power supply.
Thanks CZ...more detailed info like this is really good. I have made an XY clone similar to your build a few months ago but have not sorted the actual output as there's no one definitive source . But I guess +- 15 v input and +- 3.5 output looks the most convincing. If I get any results that are sim...

Re: X Y controller power supply.
That's a good video Tom. That XY is certainly very effective. Seems identical to CZ 's clone ? So if the input voltage is +/- 10 v is that what it gives out via suitable resistors thru the black and red jack leads output? I guess it must be...and like you say for a modular it must have been +12. -6 ...

X Y controller power supply.
On the wiring schematics for the modulars there is an accessory socket at the rear. Did the XY unit plug into this socket ?
The plug and socket seem to match but hard to tell.
Does anyone know what maximum control voltage output the unit produced ?

I too have tried to fathom the workings of this custom module along with the touch sensitive EG' s...how come they were not put into production ?

Re: Power One PSU suitable for Modular ?
Thanks for great info on this topic. Considering what I've seen it looks as though I'll try one of these units as an upgrade to my primitive PSU . John, superb project there, very inspirational in concept and build . Just two queries.....I'm assuming there's no problem with heat dispersion ..no need...

Power One PSU suitable for Modular ?
I need to upgrade my home made PSU for my cloned modular. I've seen the Power One PSU units which look pretty good but I have no experience of them. They have dual outputs ..plus /minus I think +12v and -5 v (so that's a problem with the minus rail) I think their rated at 1.7 amp. I think their US m...

Re: Why does this Modular sound so incredible ?
Thanks for your replies/opinions... I guess it is the way the modular was recorded and natural compression etc The keyboard rattle did add to the overall sound also ..on listening again there is a lot of distortion perhaps a natural " fuzz box" ? It did add to " heavy metal " tim...

Re: Why does this Modular sound so incredible ?
Yes ..i have spring reverb. Tom..my modular was built over a 20 year period on/off ...using vintage components as per original when located. Each module checked over and over and tweaked for authentic build as to original or as close as possible. I have three 901b's and three 921b's...a 904a and 904...

Why does this Modular sound so incredible ?
I was pretty stunned to say the least when I heard this Modular. So why doesn't my clone Modular sound like this ? To me this is really how a Moog Modular should sound..total magic. I can only assume that its the output monitors their using (I think a pretty sophisticated powered output feeding 15&q...

Fixed Filter inductors
I need some advice on inductor values. I've never really worked with these and I'm a bit confused over their values . On the 907 schematics values go from 5H to 150 mH. There are some available from Hong Kong but their listed as 100 mH. What I need to know is would say 10 of these in series make 1 H...

Re: 921a octave switch
Sorry I should have been clearer with the frequency at O ..then yes there's no apparent jump in pitch..careful adjustment brings them to sync in tone when flipping the rocker switch. I think its just an added resister in the Octave \ semitone switch making the big difference. But it would be great f...
