Re: Triggering the Arpeggiator
It's a bummer, because I was hoping to hold a sustain pedal plugged into the gate input and tweak the running arpeggiator with two hands.

Re: Little Phatty hesitation at first note
Same here, but I noticed it after OS2.0 update (I'm using 3.1 now), I believe that the autotune on 1.3 was different somehow. Sorry for thread hijack, but sometimes when I play for some time (LP is warmed up and all, in tune, tune menu showing 60.00 for middle C), and then sometimes it jumps to arou...

Chew on this...
Read the math behind amplitude modulation. It's very well described. Then scroll down to Ring Modulation and read that RMs are AC-coupled which doesn't allow the carrier and modulator to pass through.

It's all there in that link.
Study the trygonometry equations and you'll see that multiplication becomes sum and difference.

Re: MF-102 inconsistency?
@c7sus: I believe kind Sir You are mistaken ;-) Ring Modulation is a process od signal multiplication (and that is commutative, so technically switching carrier and modulator produce the same effect). The "sums and differences" You are writing about are the frequencies that are products od...

Re: MF-102 inconsistency?
Pluging something into Carrier Input bypasses the built in oscillator and uses the thing You plug in as the carrier. I think that the rear sockets should be labeled as they are, but the front should be labeled Carrier in place of Modulator. I'm making a tutorial about the Ringmod and it's confusing ...

Re: MF-102 inconsistency?
Still not very consistent with Ring Modulation theory? So the oscillator is the carrier and the audio in is the modulator and the front panel modulator sign refers to RM as a whole?

MF-102 inconsistency?
I'm confused. The MF-102 has a Cartier In and Out but the front panel reads Modulator. I was thinking that the Audio In signal is the modulator and the built-in oscillator is the Carrier (but the front panel reads otherwise). Do You think that it's a mistake on the part of Moog Music? I know that si...

Re: Who has found themselves on MatrixSynth or synthtopia?
I wouldn't call it 'stealing'. Actually the "matrix" guy a is very nice person and does a great job of finding great synth stuff around the web and posting it, so there's always something interesting to see. I look at matrixsynth as a "friend who comes over and saiz: look what a cool ...

Re: KNOBZ.NET: Synth Improvisations
I have two CP-251s and I'm going to use freqboxes oscillator and some lfos in the process + lowpass on carrier and lowpass on audio out, could be fun. Bitcrusher/sample rate reduction along the way in the carrier chain might be interesting too. ll watch Your videos. Is Your "box of attenuators&...

Re: KNOBZ.NET: Synth Improvisations
Actually I don't use CVout in this one, but yes, it's a big improvement in a modular environment.
My next step is a mp-201, cause I need tempo synced LFOs and envelopes.
I'll try to make a video with CVout sometime soon.
