Wow, I have the same issue. W ish I'd known that before I put those two little boxes in the rackmount kit!

There's no other electronic fix? It would be nice to avoid a seperate power supply.

I don't find it too disconcerting personally. My Solar was cheaper than buying a Performer edition. So in the end I get a discount for having a backlight I don't have to use if I don't want. If you paid more just to get the backlight, I can understand the frustration.

If the noise is unacceptable to you at any level of illumination, and you want to keep your Voyager, you only have one option:

Turn the backlight off.

No WAY I would use alcohol on the finish of my moog stuff.

I'd use, and have used dilute soapy water on a clean cloth. Always worked a treat.

I emailed them around a month ago, still no reply.

What about using the mix out / filter in jack, can you hear the oscillators when you plug into this jack?

I noticed novamusik has LUNAR edition voyagers now, no pics, but I suppose this is going to be a white backlight? maybe even a white panel / case? sounds interesting. I like mine black and orange though! The only other model which I really like the look of is the maple electric blue at bigcitymusic....
