I'd say it's normal. I'm not near my 15 at the moment but I know that the range knobs on vintage Minimoog's can exhibit that symptom. Those rotary switches have different characteristics... break before make, make before break etc... the electronics are experiencing these characteristics and respond...

Could anyone with an original Moog 904B HPFilter make a couple of checks for me please...?

I have built two of these myself and although they work perfectly - I am getting 'thumping' on the output and it's passing audio from the control inputs.

The Korg MS10 has a hold function.

The control pot is VR22 on the schematic - but (unlike the other EG controls) it isn't 'named'..!
