I have to wonder if there is some Iso Directional Induction Oscillator Technology applied to drive those tuner motors.

Re: Moog Liberation triggering problem
The answer, when found, is obvious.
- Kent Rayman, The Oregon Bass Company
My old fishin' buddy used to say that on such occasions. Anybody heard from Kent lately?
So, the problem was in the trigger extractor circuit then?

Portland, Oregon behind the music biz scene
Notable Portland Oregon businessman, Buck Munger, in one cool picture! http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/163040_186221341397523_100000289751945_624144_4259721_n.jpg Buck was working for Norlin Music promoting Moog and Gibson when this picture was taken. In the early days of his promotio...

Re: Moog Liberation triggering problem
Sorry, no, I do not. Kevin has most every other Moog doc at Synthfool, but I just looked and the Liberation is not included on his list. That "manual" is just two pages - each one folds out about 4 times, but not 8-1/2" OC. No easy way to do a good job of scanning it.

Re: Sequencing
The content of this thread expanded to flutes after I posted a picture of my C. James alto recorder. I'll go with that for now. Every woodwind player should check out some Damian Draghici so we know just how limitless the possibilities are. Warning: no sequencers, synthesizers, or ring modulation go...

Re: Moog Liberation triggering problem
The Liberation gets its trigger from the "trigger extractor" circuit on the control board. http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/188575_182280735151386_164169346962525_441442_3132485_n.jpg I first learned this stuff at ARP school where the signal that stays true as long as any key...

Re: Memorymoog suddenly is corrupted (?)
I only mentioned the RAM purge procedure as a relative point of interest, and to repeat or clarify, I only have ever had to do this on OB8s. The previous post mentioned that a CPU glitch might have written over RAM data. Maybe. Hope for low battery voltage!

Re: Memorymoog suddenly is corrupted (?)
Certainly sounds like corrupt data. Low battery voltage could be the explanation even though you successfully wrote and saved a tuning patch. With the power on, the load on the battery is removed and the battery voltage will recover slightly - long enough to retain RAM data for some period of time. ...

Re: Sequencing
I posted it just for the hell of it. I appreciate your post. I've been "out of the loop" for 20 years and have not been paying much attention to what is going on in the music making hardware / software biz. This was probably mostly inspired by getting burned out with the "new equipme...

Re: Prodigy attack fault
There is a slight attack on the osc....I will check the pot but are there other things that can cause this..? I would like to offer a response to your question but the terminology is not precise enough to understand what the situation is. Attack is mostly associated with the envelope generator (EG)...

Re: Model D, glide
Here is a test you should try Patrick: Forget the glide for the moment and turn the switch off. Flip the decay switch on the left hand controller panel to put the ADS circuits into release mode. Turn the decay controls fully clockwise. Play a high note on the keyboard and monitor the pitch drift (wi...

Re: Memorymoog board upgrade?
I see the Chroma mentioned a couple of times on this topic. I've got one in excellent cosmetic condition in a road case. My customer is a little eccentric and has more gear than i have seen in any one place in my life. He seems to have lost interest in the Chroma. It had a bad 5V PS capacitor - boug...

Re: Model D, glide
A bad FET would likely cause key CV problems regardless of the glide switch or amount setting. Besides. a novice stands a fair chance of replacing a non polarized 1 mf cap without error - an FET replacement opens the door to a list of errors. Sure - I'm making an assumption here, but asking if there...

Re: Mini-Moog Osc Board Scale/Octave Trimpot cleaning?
It sounds like an attorney wrote that statement from the Micromoog manual. It doesn't really say anything. Kind of like saying "if you drink coffee, you will die". Oh? Doesn't everybody die anyway? If you use Cramolin you will have to clean your contacts again. Really? Doesn't everybody th...
