Re: Mike Bucki gone?
There is a statue of limitations. In New York, it is only six years after the discovery of the fraud.

Re: Private Messages Stuck in Outbox
It's something with phpBB. It doesn't only happen on this site - it happens on quite a few phpBB sites, actually. I'm not sure why, but it does.

I can't believe that he just went there...
Seriously though, I was going to suggest something similar. Although, for what you say you need, why not get a drum machine? That'd definitly help for kicks. As far as bass goes, IDK how much cheaper you're going to get then the Minitaur.

Re: Regarding Mods: Any curatorial sentiments?
If it's vintage, I most likely wouldn't touch it, or even put MIDI in the old Oberheims. For me, they have to be completly stock.

Re: Rogue Heresy mods
I think that'd be more work than it's worth. Not only that, but if you screw up, your left with a bad vintage synth. Not saying that it's not possible (although it might not be...), but you'd have to alter the panel, add new circuits, new controls, and change a lot of the wiring. The KB mod might no...

Re: Calibration Oscilloscope
That's what I was thinking, too. But the fact that there was still a "whistle effect" when there was an oscillator turned on, and the fact that it just sounded like a different pitch, is kind of making me lean towards a calibration issue.

Re: Calibration Oscilloscope
It's Voice 3. I do have the original service manual for it. Besides the self oscillation, it is operating normally. So, thankfully it just sounds like a calibration issue. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the reply!

Re: Calibration Oscilloscope
I think I may be able to borrow one from somebody. However, I may have a bigger issue than I thought. I went to set up a self oscillating patch, and one of the voices won't self oscillate. I did some testing, and the "whistle effect" in the filter sweep when there is an oscilator set to sa...

Re: Calibration Oscilloscope
Yes, I do know what a ***** it can be to do this. I have tuned the synth before, almost perfectly 7F values, too; so I'm not completly inexperienced with that aspect of calibration. The biggest thing I need to calibrate is the filter on one of the voices, as well as the VCAs, which according to the ...

Re: Order your Minitaur now!
AMOS: PLEASE INTEGRATE THIS WITH EASY POLYCHAINING LIKE THE SLIMS AND THIS WILL BE THE SHOT HEARD 'ROUND THE WORLD! Given that it only has MIDI in, would this be possible? (I'm a MIDIdiot so I may be entirely off the mark here...) Yes. Maybe. What you would need is a box that accepted a MIDI in fro...

Re: Moog to Debut new instrument NAMM 2012
I could be wrong, but I just don't think there's a big enough market to justify building a RME Taurus. I also don't think Moog would do another mono synth, and a modular would most likely be cost-prohibitive to build (and costly to buy), so I'm betting it's a 4-voice poly synth, based on the Taurus...

Re: Moog to Debut new instrument NAMM 2012
Those notes are a classic Christmas riff, kind of. But - I did notice this - the notes stay in the release stage while the next note is being triggered. As far as an app/software, unless it was something totally revolutionary (and I mean like fetch me a Diet Pepsi from the vending machine revolution...
