Yes -that should work fine. My MPC1000 only has 2 Midi Outs and Midi 2 Ins though.

Sounds like the dreaded Filter Cut-off problem has happened for you! It is a known issue affecting a small number of units.

Get in touch with Andy @Moog (technical support) - it sounds like you will need to have your pot serviced/replaced. He will sort you out with a solution.
