Re: Mfb dominion 1 - a new benchmark in modern analog ?
Here's a nice demo tune crafted by the dude running MFB himself. 21 tracks of Dominion-1, and it sounds LOVELY: https://soundcloud.com/yapacc/mfbyapacc ... n-1-demo-a

Re: Keith Emerson’s personal Model D on eBay
Keith donated his Lyra - the mono synth part of the Constellation - to Audities.org in the late 90s. Roger Luther donated his Apollo - the polyphonic part of the Constellation - to Audities around the same time. The last of the Constellation trio - the bass pedal - no longer exists. The Taurus does...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
I determined that its character was sufficiently different form the Mini. Its oscillator is a lot nicer sounding, less metallic all around. This is really interesting! I decided I like the idea of the Minibrute more than the actual sound, but if the Micro is really that different I will give it ano...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Just got finished adding a few new bits and pieces to this. Most noticeable difference will be the MicroBrute arpeggios. https://glacieracademy.bandcamp.com/track/automated-groove-thing-number-two You got another 'Brute! What changed your mind about it? After playing with the Micro in the store for...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
We've been having a pretty diverse summer as far as weather goes here in Minnesota, and I've found myself stuck inside during torrential downpours that can last days at a time. Here are some songs I've written that have come out during those times. https://soundcloud.com/kennethgregorybressler/sets/...

Re: Anyone else ever come to the slow realization...
I have an EHX Cathedral (isn't a delay, but does have a very useful delay section), and an Akai Headrush, which is AMAZING. 5 audio outs, looping, and two delay modes (one "normal" and the other being "tape emulation"). I had never heard of it until seeing it in the shop, so I as...

This.EricK wrote:It reaches a point where it is hard to question whether a polyphonic synth is risky in light of a $15k glam Voyager and a $50k+ Keith Emerson modular clone.

Yeah I don't really know what's going on over there in Asheville. The Voyager is an amazingly capable, beautiful sounding synthesizer. I think that ought to be enough to sell units, but maybe it isn't.

Re: Considering a Sub Phatty or a Mini Brute
I really think Arturia have designed the best modern analog monosynths on the market. Very unique, full of character and usability, and they are fun. More fun than others in the price range. Microbrute has taken up a lot of my time that would otherwise have been spent playing the Voyager, which is s...

Re: Moog Apollo
If I remember correctly, and my memory is not what it used to be, the Apollo was the prototype for the Polymoog. It was to be part of the Constellation, made up of the Apollo, Lyra (a one voice synth that sat on top of the Apollo), and Taurus pedals. Together, it would have been the most expensive ...

Re: Moog Apollo
It sounds like a harpsichord... Is it sort of a polyphonic preset synth, like Polymoog?

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Hi everyone! I am debuting my new project, "man, woman, friend, computer". I just played a set at moogfest tonight!! Here is an interview and video for one of the songs. All the synth parts are moog and the guitar solos are moogerfooger'd out the wazoo. I posted the song a while ago, but ...

Holy mother of Genghis Khan...
I don't expect to ever encounter one of these in real life, but I hope enough rich musicians and producers buy these to fund R&D for Moog to do more cool stuff for normal people.
