Re: Matriarch-midi automation on cutoff filter
Hi Allan- You're not doing anything wrong. In most cases the Matriarch does not route the assigned CCs to the hardware output jacks. Instead those CCs are controlling the destination(s) through internal hardware connections. For example where the midi mapping document shows CC 1 controlling the mod ...

Re: how do I send sysex command to Grandmother to change a parameter ?
What DAW are you using? I need to figure out something similar with my Voyager; researching how to send MIDI CC commands from Reaper to the synth. If I get it working will post results 2 ways in Reaper(and probably others) I can think of: 1) Use an automation envelope if you want the CC to go out a...

Re: Voyager XL as a MIDI gate interface, for Modular CV sync?
There are no midi CCs assigned to any of the TS parameters including gate. I wonder if there are any CCs left? Yes you can bring out the midi sync clock. But you'd have to separately buffer it and add a protection resistor. I never realized (or forgot) the LFO1 is such low voltage. 3V can be problem...

Re: Voyager XL as a MIDI gate interface, for Modular CV sync?
I think I finally got my head around this. As I stated earlier midi clock is used to sync the LFO. This is different than creating a "real clock" signal from midi. The LFO is analog and every time midi clock comes along it resets the LFO. Remember aliasing and good old Nyquist? Yeah it app...

Re: Voyager XL as a MIDI gate interface, for Modular CV sync?
Funny, just 2 weeks ago I was doing the same thing with my Voyager and VX-351 for the first time. I too used the square wave out attempting to sink up various euro modules. It worked but not all that reliably and sometimes the euro just wouldn't sync at all depending on tempo and such. I'm not aware...

Yes, last I heard Chonky is currently only PC.
Re Arp/seq tempo - try the tap function. This should change your upper limit even after tap is disabled.

Re: Matriarch oscillator frequency help
There's a global parameter setting for oscillator frequency knob range from 0-24. See Page 62 of the manual. You'll have to read up on the previous page (61) to get familiar with modifying the globals. Or better yet use the excellent Chonky editor.

Re: Did I break my Minitaur?
What you described should not have hurt anything. Which mixer were you using (mostly just curious)? Also is the unit new or used? Could be the problem was intermittent and you just brought it out (due to no fault of your own).

Re: EP-3
Hi - Not sure where you got your info from. Anyway this (left pic) looks reasonable although I cant confirm the accuracy: http://stagecue.com/helix/ep3_to_ex1.jpg It is how most expression pedals with a polarity switch and range knob are configured . The range knob sets the minimum value of the expr...

Re: Voyager, pot mapping Q?
Hi- If I understand you are trying to modulate the Pot Mapping defined “Source” parameter with a CV. The source can be any of the front panel knobs, the wheels, pressure etc. These are themselves CVs. For example the filter knob is controlling the voltage going to the filter but It is not the filter...

Re: Voyager XL (Tolex) - Note Always On/Latch and Knobs Not Responding
Check both the left and right main outputs jacks. Are they both exhibiting the same behavior? Chances are one or both of the op-amps (dual op amp IC) controlling the final Left/Right output is bad or one of the components/connections controlling one of those op amps has become faulty.

Re: Matriarch Midi-to-CV to possible?
I had to delete my initial response after realizing my controller was assigning modwheel to AT pressure. You are correct and it leaves me thinking the same. If AT can effect the CV output jack over midi then velocity and the modwheel should work the same way. Hopefully it is just a firmware fix. Whi...

Re: Matriarch Midi-to-CV to possible?
I believe the CV jacks are hardwired to the dedicated physical controller circuit output - not the summation point of the midi derived signal and the physical controller.
I'm guessing this could be modified in hardware but again, just guessing at this point.

Re: Torn: Original Vs Re-Issue Model D?
At those prices...neither one. Not even at half the price but that's just me. You're a musician and producer? Make "butter" from Monarch or a Behringer Model D or Grandmother/Matriarch or whatever. No one listening will give a bleep about your butter and it won't change a thing as far as y...
