Re: OS Osc 3 sounds different that 1 & 2

I actually called Moog about this when I first got my Voyager Old School. The respondent was extremely helpful and told me that yes, OSC 3 IS different than 1 & 2, and that I had an extremely good ear for noticing. To make a long story short, the reason he said OSC 3 is designed slightly differe...

Noise Issue

I have a couple questions. 1.) Is it normal to hear a faint background noise when I press a key on my voyager. the noise generator is off, and it can be heard more when the filter isn't all the way open. I hear it through headphones and speakers. 2.) Is it normal to have a crackling sound most of th...

Re: Voyager Sequencer Compatibility

If I try and it doesn't work, will it mess up my minimoog? would it mess up the sequencer? i don't want to ruin anything, since I'm dealing with volts.

Re: Voyager Sequencer Compatibility

All I know is that it was made for american voltage. the card on the back will read 117v. I don't know if this is what you're referring to or not.

Voyager Sequencer Compatibility

Just purchased a Roland CSQ 100 sequencer for a great price. I hear it's basically the same thing as the SH101's step-sequencer, which I find extremely handy. Question: Would this be compatible with my Voyager Old School? I don't see why not, but I don't know if this sequencer was built for just Rol...

Voyager and Guitars

Have a question... Since I am able to plug other synths into my Voyager and take advantage of the Voyager's filter, could I plug my guitar into the Voyager and do the same thing? I don't want to try it out and end up frying something inside my unit in case this can't be done. Ideally, I would like t...

Voyager Snare

Just saw this video for the Sub Phatty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwn33DIJ3r8&list=UUEIOCTVuc4cpzb_7h-KixNw&index=1 Makes me wonder about making snare sounds on my Voyager. How can my Voyager achieve a snare sound like in that vid? Is is possible or is that snare sound exclusive to the S...

Re: Controlling Voyager Old School with Little Phatty

The main reason I want one is to use my Voyager OS with the Phaty's arppegiator. This isn't possible?

Controlling Voyager Old School with Little Phatty

Looking to buy a Little Phatty, part of the reason is to interface it with my Minimoog old school. Would the little Phatty have to have CV out in order to do this? Also, I've never used Midi before, but could I essentially use the Little Phatty as a CV to Midi converter for my Old school? I'm new to...

Re: Slim Phatty control Voyager arp

how about doing this with a voyager old school with a kenton cv to midi converter? anyone tried this? would that converter product more latency in the midi signal?

also I'm speaking about a little phatty and not a slim phatty. much more interested in purchasing the little phatty.

Re: Mod Bus 1 & 2 Question

Idk, but I'm strictly talking about the amount knobs on each bus and the depth of modulation the achieve when turned all the way up. since they're supposed 2 be identical, i would assume the depth of modulation on each bus would be equal.

OS CV to MIDI

Shopping around for a CV to MIDI converter. Any suggestions? Obviously want it to have a fast data transfer and I've heard that the Kenton-Pro Solo MKII and the Kenton USB solo MIDI to CV converter are good. Also debating weather or not I should forgo a hardware sequencer and stick to a DAW sequence...

Re: Mod Bus 1 & 2 Question

I was actually talking to a friend who's a huge Moog enthusiast, and he thought that the different mod depth between busses was a design flaw, and basically predicted that everyone's mod bus 2 gets more depth than 1. It's interesting to hear that some people are having their bus 1 have more depth th...

Re: Voyager Old School Headphone Jack/Other Issues

In reading your first post, archer, you obviously don't know what you're talking about. You said that the Moog Voyager Old School is your first 100% analog synth. That's not true, because you also said you have a Roland SH09 and RS09, which are 100% analog synths, and a Juno 6 which is 99% analog (...
