Re: 5 Voice Polychained Slim Phatty Video Is HERE!

I still think it should be pretty reasonable to come out with a Phatty Expander-a 1 rack unit device with all of the electronics of a Slim Phatty, but no knobs or display, which can be controlled by a Little or Slim Phatty. That would be a great pathway to a cost-effective polyphonic Moog.

Re: where is the poly stacked SP video/demo?

Now, how about a Really Slim Phatty expander module- Slim Phatty guts, 1 rack unit, no knobs or display, to be controlled by a Little or Slim Phatty? Even if it were only $100 cheaper than the Slim Phatty, we would be talking $2600 or so for a 4 voice Moog. Srsly. How about a 4 voice Medium Phatty ...

Re: where is the poly stacked SP video/demo?

I played it at NAMM- the videos don't quite do it justice. Re: Going Polyphonic With The Moog Slim Phatty And Little Ph

At the Moog both at NAMM last week they had a LP with an additional 3 Slims chained together as a 4-voice, and it sounded fantastic . It makes me wonder if it is possible to build a 1u rack with all the Slim Phatty guts but no knobs, displays, etc.; just a bare box that would be controlled by a LP. ...

Re: Voyager XL!

So if you already have a Voyager, CP-251 and VX-351, aside from the ribbon and 5 Oct keyboard, are you missing anything???

Re: Alesis Andromeda Now a "Legacy Product"

I recently sold my 10-yr old A6, and I have to admit for significantly more than I paid for it. If it had properly responded to PolyAT it would have never left my studio, but it was a GREAT synth.

I was going to write over the last bank, but accidentally wrote over Bank A instead. Does anyone know where I can find the Bank A presets? I must be missing the obvious but i can't seem to find them on the Moog 'site.

The original MiniMoog Model D manual had written presets which included several by Keith Emerson. One of them was listed as "Trilogy" but it was actually the patch for the ending solo from "From the Beginning." Back in the day when I had an original MiniMoog, I played it and it c...

I am down to just my Andromeda, and even that may go eventually. Been generally simplifying things over the past couple of years. Voyager staying, though.

I changed my Performer's blue LEDs to the red "Fire" version (partially inspired by the Prophet '08 ES) and this works much better in a darkened studio. Blue has always been too harsh for me. FWIW, I am also happy with the non-backlit Performer....

Nice idea Eric, but a couple of things:

1) half life of Tritium is about 12 years, so it would actually last about 25 years

2) the stuff costs about $10,000/gram or more

I am happy using my gooseneck LittleLite.....!

I use a Quiklok Z-726 stand, with my Voyager on top of an Andromeda. It works great and has been very stable. You will always get some wobble on the top tier, there really is no way to avoid it short of having a welded (but completely unadjustable) stand.
