Yep, a good example could be Boss delays. The red (analogue) ones were called "Delay." Then the digital ones came out and were called "Digital Delay." Funny they didn't call it "Analog Delay..." Oh well.

Just kidding... Anyway, I think the best place for analogue gear is LIVE! I say this because you could have a lovely Voyager patch, but when you record it, unless you're using reel to reel, (anyone?) you've instantly gone A -> D. Live on the on the other hand, everything is on the line. With the rig...

Thank's for that; I'll save my pennies (unless they run out, then it would be a modular instead ;)).

Sometimes I do that.

Crank the 101 RESONANCE and patch the CARRIER OUT to CUTOFF. If you use a delay/reverb etc. you can acheive some really cool theremin-like sounds by playing with the CUTOFF knob.

Dunno about using them as a synth; maybe a tuned oscilator ala squarewave?

I vaguely remember trying a Roland expression pedal (perhaps an old one) in the past. It didn't work except in a very small range. So I tested it with a multimeter and found that instead of a large range of resistance values, all I got was a small range i.e. something like 1kOhm. What I concluded is...

Yes, but to sync. to a MIDI clock, you'd have to convert the MIDI clock into an "analog" pulse. I think the link I gave has a project that would probably accomplish this.

Yep, have tried an original FL-9, very cool, but tended to sound very thin when used on bass frequencies. Save the pennies and go for a "?" I reckon!!!

Welcome As far as I know: If you're trying to sync CV (e.g LFO rate) to MIDI, it's quite difficult without software, i.e. the Moog Voyager and I'm sure some others can. If you wanted to use the phaser LFO on another CV input, just plug a cord from LFO OUT to destination. More than one destination? Y...

Opeth, that would be cool. Do you now have a 102 also? Could you compare the two when they arrive? (gotta love the photo-theremin CV :) )

When it comes to effects, I think the quirkier and crazier the better.

Don't emulate; reinvent!
