Re: Post your latest purchase!!

that is sad news to hear, I'm sorry for your loss RIP it is very nice that he/she left you some things, to use and remember them by. I can't imagine what it would be like to inherit gear; would be very emotional for sure, using it. But at least it will be used. and appreciated Thank you. He was for...

Re: Thoughts on the Moog Model 15

Here's my Moslab with a Synth-Werk 914 (inductor based). Waiting on the Bode Frequency Shifter and a couple more VCAs. Kudos on the TV gigs, I think that's what we all aspire to. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4497/37085657613_29ef02ff38_c.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4475/37690713122_4a6709dd...

Re: Live recording

You might want to just mic the room and experiment with mic placement because it's going to be virtually impossible to keep the minimoog from bleeding onto the drum tracks. Believe it or not you can get some great mixes just with a small portable recorder and a couple of strategically placed mics. T...

Re: Model 15 and Mother-32

I was initially going to recommend the Doepfer Dark Time over the Mother 32 but that also doesn't have the 1/4th inch jacks, so the best thing to do probably is to stay with the 5u format (Moog Style). Look into the M-500P cabinet from Moon Modular and then you can put a dotcom sequencer in there al...

Maybe tell us exactly which article you read this in so that anyone with technical knowledge who can help you knows the exact context of the statement.

Re: Moog Music Inc dragging their feet

Alain,
I've been hearing rumors since before the Sub Phatty was released that they are developing one. I'd like to elaborate further but I've heard this from two different people both of whom were credible sources.

Re: Moog 15 with 2 Filters and pedal modulation....

Jan, His configuration is a little different. He has 6 901bs going off of one 901a controller and he's just using 2 mixers and 2 filters to separate them. You need to have your pitch controlling your 921a AND your 921s, so you'll have to multiply your pitch CV first. Then you have to multiply your e...

Re: Where Do I Go From Here?

Too late to recommend the Doepfer Dark Time, though if you wanted to keep a small desktop footprint, the Mother-32 (or a couple of them) might keep you going for awhile.

Here's the inside. It looks like plenty of room to put a DIY circuit in there.

Re: Moog 15 with 2 Filters and pedal modulation....

Can you link to the youtube video you are referring to?
And if you use the Aux out on your 921 you can attenuate the voltage that way.

Re: the big inputs at the back of the 15

You might be able to find that in the Moog 15 Service Manual and get the barrel from Mouser.

Re: the big inputs at the back of the 15

Your system should be able to accept gates and CVs via the Amphenol socket on the rear and then route those to your front panel for multiplication and distribution, right?

So if you could mod that front panel to accept cv then couldn't you simply wire up a cable to an Amphenol barrel?
