Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)
^That's cool! I am not getting as much resonance from the MF-Drive (to be expected), but it works similarly. Most of what I do with the MF-Ring is to use it as a "Second OSC" for the MicroBrute. This works because I can send Pitch CV to the MF-Ring and achieve keyboard tracking of the over...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)
So, I just tried an idea that worked out *very well*. :) Patched the CV Out (pitch) from a BeatStep to the CV In of a Minifooger MF-Drive and set the knobs so the filter opens more with higher pitch signals. Poor Man's MIDIMurf and possibly one that is more powerful in the end (more patterns, real t...

Well... just looked through my wife's phone for a video of a cool Sub37 solo I recall from our Town Pump show. LOL She recording everything up to that solo! Oh well.... you will just have to trust me it was awesome.

Yep. I spend 10-12 hrs a day in the Pixel Mine! Kudos to Moog for a nice readable layout, nicely printed.
So, who does that good work? Blue Ridge Printing?

Re: shout out to andy at moogmusic
Taylor Mott taylor@moogmusic.com xt. 217 Taylor helped me last month (Thanks!). Worth noting, I do think Andy was on vacation when this thread first started. *sigh* Guess, I'll be back there next week, since I broke my Moog ! Dropped it on the floor, and it shattered into a dozen or more pieces! :s...

Worldline at UNCA Asheville https://www.facebook.com/worldlinemusic/videos/815363735183757/ I'm playing the Sub37 up top and a Triton Extreme below. So much fun playing with Worldline! My time with them was short ('bout one year filling in for BT), but I've become a lifelong fan since. Check 'em out.

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)
Few more I use regularly:
MF-Delay works very well on the Slim and Sub37. A CV LFO from the MicroBrute creates modulated delays. Yea!
MF-Trem enjoys receiving an ENV CV signal from the MicroBrute to create fast-into-slow tremolo effects.

Re: Mother 32 not tracking well with Little Phatty
Before you send any CV Pitch signal to the MiniBrute, be sure to set the 'Brute to its lowest octave, and hit the lowest key. This will set the base pitch for the CV signal (which will add to that base pitch).Vondragonnoggin wrote:...Arturia Minibrute... pitch way off in octaves. Way too high octaves.

Re: Minifoogers you would like to see in the future
Isn't the Minifooger Drive good enough? I think it does a decent job at filter sweeps. I've posted this before, but here is a track using the MF-Drive and an EP-2 to create synth-type sounds from a Stratocaster. All the sounds came from the guitar, through the amp, and into an SM57. https://soundcl...

Re: Arturia steps up its game with MatrixBrute
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfLTlbGwXD0 ^YouTube link to MatrixBrute promo. Some talk about the synth being drowned by the rest of the band, but I hear this as an honest mix for rock-prog. To me (opinion only from here), it has the Arturia sound that I hear in the MircoBrute. After I get a big,...

Re: Playing the Moog: Best Way to Learn?
Congratulations! What a wonderful way to remember your loved one. The Minimoog presents you with two areas of learning: Synthesis and Music. For the music side, start with the C-major scale (all white keys) and begin playing around with that. Piano lessons will be useful, especially if you can find ...

Re: sub phatty and arturia beatstep
Hey Krunktopher! You probably want to connect the Beatstep to the Sub Phatty using a MIDI cable from the Beatstep OUT to the Sub Phatty IN. Set the Sub Phatty to MIDI Channel 1 because the Beatstep will always default to MIDI Channel 1 (it is buggy and will occasionally reset to default on its own)....

Re: Which amplifier for the Sub 37/ LP2 ?
Roland KC-550 is the best I've used. Really has the full range and power to get the keys heard in a full rock band setting. Used a Roland Cube-80 for a few gigs, and it was not up to the task. :? The Moog cut through alright (and it always does), but it couldn't handle the piano and e-piano stuff f...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital and Anal
+1 Way Huge Swollen Pickle —took a long time to get this dialed in to my liking, but well worth it. Hardwire Supernatural Reverb —lots of good uses for this with a synth! EHX Memory Boy —a highly underrated delay pedal IMO. Tone is 'weaker' than other analog delays (kinda mid-rangey and grainy), but...
