Re: Sub 37 vs Model D
I have both. I consider both to be integral to my studio. I would replace either in a heartbeat. If they were being discontinued, I'd consider buying backups without hesitation. As far as which to buy, they have different sounds. The sound of the 2016 D is thicker, fatter, punchier, more raw and bal...

Re: Can my voyager and dark time do this??
Technically, sort of. You can mimic that sound but using the CV (normally pitch) out of the dark time, plugged into the voyager's Filter CV input. Use the knobs on the dark time to "tune" each step of the filter. Or If you are less picky about being able to manually tune each step, and jus...

Re: Quality of Moog Warranty Service
This is why I always buy my Moog gear from Sweetwater. 2 years of warranty instead of 1. And the customer service at sweetwater is second to none. Well, maybe tied with Moog. Wink.

The minitaur isn't an AUDIO device. Only a USB midi. No audio is sent over the USB.

FWIW, I believe the VOS is the only 5U-sized module that that Synthrotek makes - the rest is all Eurorack, pedals, and circuit boards/kits.
Wished they offered some of their other products in 5U...

Re: Using Daisy Chain Harness with 2 x CP-251 in rack?
relocating the switch is easy. Just be gentle during disassembly, and you'll be fine. If you're really worried about it, you can mail it to me and I'll do it for you. It takes 2 minutes. I've done it probably a dozen times over the last few years as I've rearranged my setup.

Re: Best Sequencer for Multiple Moogerfoogers?
I use my beat step pro(s) to control everything from my modular to my 104M and Koma FT-201. Another great option that no one has mentioned is the Voice of Saturn sequencer. You get a very usable voltage range, it can run at almost audio rates, you get a gate output per step, a summed gate output, it...

Re: Sub 37 and Minitaur or just Sub 37?
I have owned both, concurrently. 1. Polychaining. Polychaining 1 minitaur to the sub37 is pretty fruitless. Since the sub can't polychain in DUO mode, adding the minitaur to the equation converts it to 2 voice polyphonic from 2 voice paraphonic. Improvement? I guess. Worth it? No. 2. I don't think y...

i have the Moon 569 (Quad Voltage Sequencer) as well as the q119.
They both have their benefits. Are you sequencing melodies or modulation? the q119 can run at audio rates, which most sequencers can't.
