Re: Modular vs. Semi-Modular

Wow, sounds like you are having fun. A few things - If you can't get an O'tool (really useful) then check out the DSO Nano V2 scope - cheap, small works quite well for audio/CV stuff. Get the free BenF firmware. "Wave folder/shaper" does seem to be a vague term. Could be wave alteration, l...

Re: A new respect for scratching

I'd say 'both' as well. I really woke up when I saw a video of a couple of DJ's sitting around having a session, and was struck by how much it resembled conga players sitting around trading beats. Same flow.

Re: Control FreqBox VCO with external keyboard. ADSR?

You could get the tiny Doepfer case, and put an ADSR and VCA in that. but, once you get hooked on Eurorack..........

Re: LP + EHX Memory Toy

I have to say, I am also a guitar player, and have lot's of little boxen, and there really isn't anything that's _bad_ to use with the LP, if you find the right song. :) - Old School - run it into a guitar amp. Clean one or crunchy one, both have their uses. (Hint: Jan Hammer) - Distortion and fuzz....

Re: MP-201 current market value.

I am in Portland, Oregon. And seriously thinking of selling/trading away my MP-201, due to Eurorack/Silent Way taking over my life/CV control.
PM me in your have interest - would prefer to trade to someone local.

Re: LP Stage II and Boss Dr220A drum machine

Afaik, the only way to sync the LP arpeggiator is via MIDI. The LP has a Gate in, but it doesn't have anything to do with arp timing or sync. And, even with the CV out mod, there is no trigger output on the LP. If the Boss does MIDI, use that. Otherwise, you would need something that converts MIDI c...

Soundtower has always been non-responsive. Try sending in a support request - there's a form on their webpage. That at least got me a response, however non-useful.

Re: LPSE2: Kenton USB Solo or Kenton Pro Solo Mk2?

The LP will not power the Kenton. Both of those devices expect a computer/power on the other end of the USB cable, they both have the 'B' socket, and you can't connect two of those devices together. The iConnect box will allow you to plug in one unit, but afaik not both. For a non-computer setup, th...

Re: modualar compatibility with moog gear and power question

I use the CP-251 mixer and attenuators all the time to get voltage levels correct. For measurement, i use a DSO Nano V2, and a little meter i wired up. Apparently I can't attach a photo.. :(

Hmm.. I bet you could whip up something with an Arduino pretty quick. There are already several products built with that tech...(4ms SCM for example)

Re: Ground loop problem with (self-adjusting knobs)

I have used the Ebtech HumX for various ground loop issues, haven't tried it with LP. I do not know if they make a non-US version.

Sigh, ugh http://soundcloud.com/theminibubbas/moogguitarpiezo Here's an example. I never used the piezo blend, because when I first tried it, i though "This really sounds sucky" but I didn't get into the details.. Moog E1, hardtail, MIDI output added later at the factory. Sigh, once again ...
