Re: COMING NAMM 2014

Re: MIDI keyboard connection
Something like this might work.

I have not used one so I can't recommend it or say if it will do the job but you may want to look into it.

Yes, it will work fine just as if you were actually turning the knobs.

Re: No sound when I turn on SubPhatty?
I find that when using the Editor on a computer that I have to reset the preferences to get the Sub Phatty to play. Most likely local is turned to off; when the preferences are erased (I view this as a bug and hope MOOG will fix it as it happens every time I use the editor), local is set to off.Kre...

Re: Sub Phatty MIDI out
If you have a iPad you could route the MIDI though the iPad and use an app called MidiBridge. It has a velocity curve filter.

Re: Patch Volume jumps to max
Do all knobs behave the same way? If they do then it could be caused by the Knob Mode parameter. It's a hidden Shift Mode parameter. Here's an excerpt from the manual that explains it. KNOB MODE When you change presets, it’s unlikely that the positions of the knobs will match the values of the prese...

Re: SP Tribute?
Imagine everybodys disappointment when it turns out to be a Slim Phatty Tribute. ;) That hadn't occurred to me since my brain has been wrapped around the Sub lately. With the Little Phatty being discontinued maybe the Slim will be the next to go and they are going to do some tribute edition. Time w...

Re: Memorymoog or Prophet 12
I have a P12 and would prefer it over a Memorymoog. It has more sonic possibilities in my opinion. I won't disagree that the P12 can sound a bit digital and that's fine with me. It can be tweaked to sound more analog and you can always layer an analog synth with it to really add some character. I of...

Re: SUB PHATTY AUDIO INPUT HISSING INTO LOGIC
I would get a decent entry level external audio interface. No point having a nice sounding Sub Phatty if you're just going to feed the signal into a cheap converter cable. Check out the Focusrite Scarlet 2i2.

Re: Sub phatty editor in Windows standalone &DAW issues
I see. I wonder why they don't have an issue but the Sub Phatty does. I don't know the implementation details of either so I can only speculate. Korg installs a USB MIDI device driver and communicates with it. This driver won't be affected by vst limitations. The driver would also be the applicatio...
