Re: Sub 37 & Ableton - Recognize & record knob movements?
Yes, external instrument. MIDI out to the Sub37, Audio In from whatever channel on your interface the Sub37 audio out is plugged into. Create a test MIDI clip, then double click the MIDI clip, click on the E with the circle around it to bring up the envelopes view and you should be able to specify ...

Panel is on!
I have the Sub 37 setup as an external instrument, is that correct?

Sub 37 & Ableton - Recognize & record knob movements?
I can't seem to make Ableton recognize or record knob movements from my Sub 37, only pitch and note on/off! It works in Cubase 8...?
There's not much to fiddle with in the Ableton preferences, have you got it working?

Re: Slim Phatty DISCONTINUED...what's next?
Sub XL, 3 VCO, ladder filter + Hpf/Notch etc, 3 LFO's, 3 AHDSR's (that can be sent to LFO's), FM, bigger and better arpeggiator and sequencer, better source to destination capabilities (á la DSI Pro 2 & 12), big touchscreen (naming, routing etc)/ XY, programmable CV ins & outs, one extra oct...

Re: Patches in Forum
I guess the whole reason being people like Moogs so much is that they're very straightforward. I honestly never use presets in my Little Phatty. I guess I would use stored presets live in certain circumstances but it's jut a lot more fun to tweak things around and not give a damn, at least in the m...

Re: The Phatty Tuner
Cool Amos! I hope you find the time to make it happen but I´d much rather have you tweaking the Sub 37 for now!Amos wrote:it's just a matter of having the time, versus all the other things we'd also like to do... my ambition is to add full 128-note tuning at some point in the future, though

Thanks Amos! Is this something you could do in the future? Seems pretty straightforward!Amos wrote:currently only the scale/octave tuning format is supported, so only twelve-note scales for now.

The Phatty Tuner
I have a huge amount of scala files (.scl) but the Phatty Tuner won´t load anything but twelvetone scales?
Is it possible to load other scales than 12T? I mean so what if a scale only has 5 notes, that makes 2 octaves and two notes "per octave"!

Re: Picked up AniMoog - Thinking of selling my hardware
I prefer real knobs but it´s awkward to dive inte menus to program. Soft synths are a joy to program (minus the mouse action) although the sound is not analog. Every day the computing power goes up and the algorithms get more alive and complex. I´m not gonna sell the Sub 37 before the VST is release...

Well my retarded diabetes doctor says that you must eat all the time to stoke the metabolic fire but that twisted half truth was debunked back in 1997.
Some people (like me) can be a bit slow sometimes.

Re: Picked up AniMoog - Thinking of selling my hardware
Thanks everyone! The Minitaur has it´s own VST and the 37 will too before the end of the year and then they´ll be able to do all the things I wanna do with them. But then the problem is how do I justify spending $2000 on something I can sort of do on my iPad? It may not sound the same but with the i...

Picked up AniMoog - Thinking of selling my hardware
Yup! It sounds magnificent, easy to program, wide palette of timbres, fits in my man-purse or pocket, wireless / bluetooth audio and midi, polyphony, cool delay, unison, crusher, drives and the general movement capable in this thing is bananas. I´ve had a Slim Phatty and Sub Phatty and I sold those ...

Re: Power Tools for Synthesizer Programming - Book
Thanks Dan! I´ll be waiting for the 2nd edition in february!
Can you recommend a patchbook? That´s probably what I need the most!
Also, have you thought about doing an online synthesis course or write a book of your own? You´re so pedagogical!

My 37 just froze when yanking the USB cable. Turned it off then on and it worked again.
