Did you try adjusting the output level control knob underneath the foot rocker? It sounds like the range might be turned all the way down.

A question for those of you who are receiving your MIDI MuRFs. Did the software (pattern editor) come with it?

I had a Mopho for a month. I returned it because it felt digital and sounded like a software synthesizer. (The final straw was that the envelope sequence modulation settings were buggy. Has anyone tried programming their Mopho internal sequencer with the mod destination assigned to Env Attack, Env D...

...OR eight frequency dependent envelope followers on the Murf so it would act like a vocoder! Oh lord. We are spoiled brats. We get amazing stuff from Moog and are constantly asking for more... American consumer damage.

Two words for the naysayers of MIDI on the new Murf: user patterns This is spot on. User patterns. Playing the individual frequency bands with a keyboard OR programming them with a sequencer. It is a solution that is simple and intuitive. I can't wait. ...and for those who are nervous about digital...

Re: Music Theory?

Absolutely. I've been reading a lot about this recently and I've been boring my partner's ear off about it. Glad I have an excuse/someone to talk to about it. When I first learned about this it drove me a bit crazy to think we have been trained our whole lives to listen to music that's slightly out-...

Re: Music Theory?

An extension of the side conversation from the Michael Jackson tribute thread. Circle of Fifths is the first question. What is it? Why do I need to know it? :? It doesn't look like anyone mentioned this so... Most musicians memorize the circle of fifths because it helps them remember closely relate...

MFB-502

I bought an MFB-502 "Drumcomputer" on eBay recently (in spite of terrible user reviews) and am very happy with it. It is tiny and feels very lightweight and plastic but the sound is great, especially through a large speaker cabinet. I prefer the white noise hats and cymbal to the newer TR8...

Oh, 7-bit. Thanks for responding so quickly. So the MIDI input is 14-bit as well? I have yet to hook it up to anything (MIDI or USB). Guess I should do that.

Midi over USB (CC resolution)

Does the USB jack offer increased resolution over control parameters or is it the same resolution as MIDI? (8-bit)
