Memory Moog

Check out www.craigslist.com and check the LA and SF area base.

There is a (supposidly) very nice Memory Moog available in Torrence for under $3,000. Wish I had the free cash to buy it, but I might as well let a true MoogHead get his dream synth.

Good Luck!

Martin, I agree. Not having Wendy Carlos in the movie was a huge omission, especially when there was a feature on Susan Ciani whom, while known as a synth user, I do not particularly associate with the use of Moogs. Still, the movie gave quite a look into Moog the man, and he seems like a lovable ol...

Hey Nick, Sorry that I did not get back to you....I never saw your reply to my post. My wheel problem is taken care of, but thanks for offering your help. I do not know your friend in Santa Barbara. If I had a girlfriend anywhere my wife would kill me! ;) I do wish that I had "3 of those" ...

Synth recording Part II

Seeing the information regarding recording Moogs on this site lit up a little light bulb in my head and I thought that I would pose this question to other synth/keyboard lovers. Long ago I used to use Opcode Vision as a sequencer for my MIDI set up. I have been out of keyboards for a while now and h...

Moog Pitch and Mod Wheels

This weekend I noticed that the Pitch and Mod wheels on my otherwise pristine Minimoog are cracked. You know, the usual place--from the set screw hole to hub in the middle. These were bad before, and I switched them out with some from a non-working Source that I had purchased for parts. A couple of ...

Moog Movie Reviews

Anybody seen the Moog Movie yet? I saw it this weekend and enjoyed it. Even my wife, who is not a Moog enthusiast, liked the movie. Some interesting interviews, but I wish that some of them had less background noise. The Rick Wakeman interview was almost unintelligible what with the background conve...

Moog sound charts

Thanks for taking the time to look for me, vorlon. Oh well! No authentic Keith Emerson autograph. At least I will have fun with the patch book.

Minimoog Sound Chart

I just picked up a Minimoog Sound Chart onEbay. I have been looking for one of these for about 15 years, after I finally bought a pristine Minimoog. This thing dates from 1977, and is written by Tom Rhea, who, if I remember correctly, is the same guy who wrote the Mini Manual. When I started looking...

synth solos

This one has been mentioned before, but Keith Emerson's "Lucky Man" solo changed my life. When I first heard that sound, I had to find out what that instrument was. I think that I have heard that Emerson was not all that proud of that solo at the time. Another interesting synth solo is fro...
