Thought this was going to be about the 26kg this beast weighs.
Sadly I have yet to hear mine through a PA. One day I hope.

Re: Moog Rogue - bringing back to life
I don't know how well the sliders clean up, I just went ahead and replaced them all, and also the switches, with the technology transplant kit. Also handy was the new plastic slider caps as the old ones had faded and some were cracking. I imagine most issues will be the foam, but what actually isn't...

Re: Tape Delay Shootout with Micromoog: Ep4/RE301
I'm trying to think how Roland could call this a Digital Chorus - maybe because it has chips? That hardly makes it digital. I guess from the Space:1999-style font they thought digital was all futuristic and a buzz-word. Certainly Roland would eventually go all-digital. I have an RE-3 which is called...

Re: Tape Delay Shootout with Micromoog: Ep4/RE301
Mine was from the UK. Like you I had never seen one before, can't remember how it came up. I bought mine years ago from eBay, thankfully a UK/European one so voltage is correct for me. It was only £60. A couple of months later I saw one go for £200. Here's the odd thing. It looked mint and unused. T...

Nice to see another DC-50 owner. Not much info about these on the interwebz. Do you have a manual? I realise there's not much to it, but I've been after a copy. I have wondered about opening it up and adjusting some trimmers, although I like the simplicity of one knob. I really like the Hall effect ...

Re: Taurus 3 Arp Note Rest Brainstorm
I haven't used the arp much. In the current set-up can you add arp notes in a different octave seeing as the Octave switch is used for other functions? Back to the rest idea. How about when you press and hold the Octave button the top C foot pedal becomes a rest? This would allow a more musical ente...

Re: total newb needs help
I am open to using a non-resource hog AV program. What would you suggest? Personally I use Kaspersky, but I see complaints about that on the internet too! However I've never had resource issues and when I am running my audio programs I just turn it off anyway, which I have heard is quite difficult ...

Re: total newb needs help
Without wishing to appear frivolous, you would do yourself and your computer a huge favour by deleting Norton and using a different anti-virus program. Norton is notorious and will hog resources and for a computer being used for music this is a bad idea.

Re: Another Moog Opus 3 with string section issues
Don't know if he's still doing them, but check this thread: http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11734&p=100259&hilit=rogue#p85655 I imagine he could do the Opus 3 too. I got a full set of Rogue sliders from Technology Transplant (which I think are the same as the Opus 3's) but...

Re: That Taurus 1 sound on the Taurus 3
From what I remember the T3 with generally just a touch brighter.. (I remember a lot of people seemed to be of the opinion that it was easier to get a T3 to sound like a T1 than vice versa because of this extra brightness, you know, being subtractive synthesis and all  ) anyway… from what I re...

That Taurus 1 sound on the Taurus 3
I remember when we all started getting our T3s and there were a number of posts saying the famous Taurus preset wasn't quite right. Of course back then the only fix was to copy it and then edit as the first four slots were fixed. Now that the first four slots are writeable, I was thinking I'd like t...

Re: New ARP Odyssey synthesizer!
I for one am very excited about this. One of my all-time fantasy synths and now I'll be able to get a new one (probably with better sliders too). Nice to see the ARP label back - I was just talking yesterday to a synth-head friend of mine about how Moog, Dave Smith and Oberheim made comebacks but AR...
