A stock IIIc or System 55 can set you back at least $20,000, System 35 $12,000. Expanded modulars (extra cabinet, more modules, ribbon controller, etc) will set you back even more. Smaller modulars like the System 15 go for $6,000. analogsynths.com will ask for higher prices, they're major hoarders ...

While Memorymoogs sound great, they do not have a very good record for reliability. I had one since 1986 and I was under the hood too many times. And it is getting harder to find a tech who will repair them. My Andromeda replaced the MM and I don't miss the repair bills. In the year I had the Voyage...

Yeah right, show me someone who argues they're worth $2000 and I'll show you someone who has a set they are trying to sell on ebay or in a classified. I HAVE used these live. They sound great but they are not worth $2000. Wonderful colours? Sorry. I love the Taurus pedals but they are a one-trick po...

The going rate for model D Minimoogs is $2000. The Taurus I is a crippled Minimoog with no modulation and very little flexibility in sound palette. And they can't be easily MIDIfied, they're v/hz not v/oct like the Minimoog and they have no I/O jacks. $1600 to $2100 is WAY too much for ancient non-M...

Bob had nothing to do with the MG-1; Dave Luce and Paul Schreiber designed the MG-1.

The Moog Constellation was a prototype system consisting of three prototype devices; the Lyra, the Apollo, and the bass pedals. The Apollo was a polyphonic synth that evolved into the Polymoog, but it was a cheesy organ-like top octave division system with a master VCF so not really a proper polypho...

There were only a couple hundred RAs; if that one is in the 600s then it isn't an RA, more likely a Moog-Musonics. Whether it is unreliable tuning-wise depends on the VCO card installed in it. There were three revisions of VCO cards. This one is early enough it might have the original one with all d...

I would like to be able to let velocity (and perhaps pressure and the mod wheel as well) control cutoff/res/volume/ lfo rate via a simple modulation matrix: just source, destination and amount. The mod busses seem a waste for simple modulation. I can do it now via the vx, but it would be great to b...
